I think most uses of necromancy aren't nessesarily evil, it when they start trapping souls in undead bodies and such that the evil comes into play. It's all about what you are using them for that makes the difference IIRC, weren't the Cure Light Wound Spells from earlier (say 1e and 2e)...

This would be my answer too. It's really a matter of personal choice. However, if they take them home I request a copy for reference and emergency use. My group is too small to do without a player, so if that player can't make it, the PC becomes an NPC under my control.

By RAW, probably no. Me personally, I would say if you can lock it than sure. As far as being unfair, why is it unfair for someone to take precautions against thievery. To me it would be unfair to disallow it simply so a fellow party member can steal from the rest of the party. This may be why...

This one here. We also allowed humans to multiclass and get a +5% bonus to xp. And still, most people wouldn't play humans. Gotta love those pluses to abilities. Oh and the fact that everyone had infravision.

I think I would go with this. I personally wouldn't care what the rules say or don't say; it would be totally ridiculous to apply a negative modifier to a power that's supposed to be a bonus. A bonus of 0 I could live with, but a bonus of -1 (or more!)? :confused: Not so much. Just my 2cps.

I have a friend who wants to play the Hackmaster Basic game as a break from our regular game. It looks kind of interesting in a retro 1.5e sorta way ;). Anyone ever play this game? What are your opinions of it?
