    D&D 5E (2014) Mundane Healing

Honestly, I would probably keep the d8 listed in the Cure Wounds spell. Is it working though? No issues?

    D&D 5E (2014) Mundane Healing

You said mundane, but could consider providing a healing wand modeled after the magic missile example. It may wind up being a bit OP presented that way, but I have had that thought myself.

    D&D 5E (2014) Throwing goblins

Ditto this. I would sort saves and checks a bit more carefully, but otherwise you made the right call. As for slippery slope concerns, I disagree. I don't see this as starting a trend.

There is no wrong way to play, but...

I think bounded accuracy would disagree with the 'not much damage' assessment. You can up the deadlines of firearms in a number of ways, if so inclined. I also think you can do some interesting things with Expertise and higher DCs. But to each his own.

D&D 5E (2014) Low level party vs high CR monsters?

I think the response to "Come on guys...bounded accuracy..." is "No metagaming, please. Do your characters believe they can kill it?" But you are very right to point out how rewarding this type of gambling with beaucoup XP would encourage it. Some players do see these creatures as bags full...

There is no wrong way to play, but...

I think 5e would make an excellent system for Traveller, actually. Really any form of near - human game should work.

D&D 5E (2014) What armor can druids wear? Is there a way to get a decent AC?

Defcon, are you advocating a base AC of +6 on a spell of this level?

    D&D 5E (2014) Rant About Patience

It's probably possible to expand a project horizontally, especially for wide-industry tasks like proofreading.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rant About Patience

Indeed. But I was referring to 1e. Sorry that was unclear. Things were different back then. I have no memory of anticipating new products, or preordering, etc.

D&D 5E (2014) What armor can druids wear? Is there a way to get a decent AC?

More like bark, is what I intended to say.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rant About Patience

I don't fear the imagination, I fear the retcon.

D&D 5E (2014) What armor can druids wear? Is there a way to get a decent AC?

I could actually see a drop if it made you more stiff. And bark is typically not meant for the same movement as skin...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rant About Patience

I recall 3e being one book each month, with the MM last. Could be wrong though, it's been 14 years. That said, you seem to have trouble recalling how different D&D was in the pre-internet days. ;)

    D&D 5E (2014) Rant About Patience

Yeah, that's a solid point. Any concept that honestly that includes "make up what is missing" validates this as well. 'I think we have enough because' should be followed by something other than 'you can make up what is missing'. Personally I am intimidated. What if everything I invent is...

It needs to be more of a sandbox than a railroad?

I would railroad the hell out of a player who was spending valuable table time discussing radishes. "Okay Tom, you have a long and fulfilling discussion about radishes. While Max is talking to this farmer for the next few hours, what are the rest of you doing? And by the way, you see someone...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rant About Patience

I challenge the notion of the OP - I don't think you care whether people are patient or not. Mostly because you're not saying anything that would help anyone bide time. No, it seems you want impatient people to shut up. Is that accurate?

D&D 5E (2014) What armor can druids wear? Is there a way to get a decent AC?

As I understand it, to a druid metal is repugnant. It would be like you wearing human skin to work. "Why does society tell me what to do? What happens if I change my mind after seeing how effective human skin is at repelling water?" Just as that phrase (hopefully) boggles you mind, so it is...

It needs to be more of a sandbox than a railroad?

The biggest problem with railroad vs sandbox discussions is definitely always the people who get religious about it. When every argument is buttressed by opinion alone, you can tell the discussion is going to have less and less value as it moves forward. Well, possibly more entertainment...

D&D 5E (2014) Where is the point of medicine as a skill?

Where are you finding the notion of trained vs untrained in 5e? Or are you porting it from an earlier version?
