Prickly moral situation for a Paladin - did I judge it correctly?

But they did not show their true age. Which is why so many horses have been gone through... What is the point of having an encounter like that, just to make it 'easy' on the participants? ForceUser, apparently, wanted a moral quandry (hope I used that correctly)... and he sure as heck got...

Prickly moral situation for a Paladin - did I judge it correctly?

Nope not a freak at all... well at least your not the only one. ;) Children may know what is right from what is wrong... actually getting them to keep their actions under control is something totally different. Impulsive does not even begin to describe a child. Wether they be eight or...

Prickly moral situation for a Paladin - did I judge it correctly?

Sounds to me like they got what they deserved then... the children were not possessed or consistently goaded. They could have chosen not do be little nasties. In the above scenario subduing, killing or waiting were all valid options... if the information the DM just stated is what the PCs knew...

Need some DMing advice - trying to avoid the railroad

Similar to what Arwink said, just have some thief steal the stone. They could have been hired by Arwink's bad guys or just a regular petty baddy... who later, themselves, is robbed or rubbed out by the bad guys. Nothing gets players interested in an item then when they are robbed. Having...

Prickly moral situation for a Paladin - did I judge it correctly?

From this: the children, under some evil influence, had sacrificed their parents in an infernal rite. I side with ForceUser (that and he did warn the paladin...). They may no longer be children in the normal sense, but they were when they were corrupted... and it is all to easy to corrupt a...

    Rudolph Van Richten

Forgot those... been a long time since I even looked at it... here they are though: Dies. Ghost answers some questions - disappears. Young van Richten lives or dies according to PC actions. He lives he is kept safe for some large future event. Dies. Essence joins Bleak House. Dies. Becomes a...

    Rudolph Van Richten

I have not seen them... He died in the second edition TSR boxed set #1141 - Bleak House. He is a ghost last I knew keeping some nasty vistani spirits under control. He has 10 thief levels. Above average Dex, Int and Wis (before death that is). Str, Con and Cha average. He was an herbalist...

Hate to break this to you... The wife finally decided that dvd player would be nice... so I finally got proper surround sound. So I have her ole JBL studio stereos hooked up to the comp through a 'Y' stereo to 1/8" audio jack cable and I still get crispies (the speakers were just re-coned...

Not the only one... then I like popcorn... Out of 200+ (I lost count) AAC imports I think less then 10% were popcorn-ish. I used max possible speed of the cd drive. It is not common but common enough for apple in the latest mac update to add an 'error correction' option in 'Preferences'. It...

As Aeolius said, you can (i did also just not in so many words - any playlist up to ten times on a cd). My comments were directed at audio players, like the iPod. Straight AAC, any player company can use. AAC w/Fairplay would require haggling with the player companies, since Fairplay is...

    Prehistoric Campaign

Actually, for something I just threw out their I like the migratory stuff too... I want it back! Limiting feats for story, have to love it. I was having different clans, each with their own 'feat path'. Then the surrounding races would have some new ones. Lost tomes or scrolls as the rest of...

    Prehistoric Campaign

Something close... Mine is more of a fall back to pre-medieval times and slowly working back up to those times (as the players want though). Anyhow, the 'something close' is that I am starting out with limited classes (no spellcasters), limited weapons (exotic double weapon quarterstaff/spear...

Now you darn well know one was just a restart away from going again. ;) One thing I noticed with 9 was outside of the lack of memory protection (how did you old mac people deal without that for so long?!?), most crashes were program specific. I'll take OSX any day. As for Apple supporting...
