D&D 3.x Are there any 3.5 rules for alternate Paladin Special Mounts?

I believe that the DMG has rules for alternate Paladin mounts (can't quote you a page number since I'm at work). I believe that a paladin could select a dire lion as a mount somewhere between 9th and 12th lv. The Draconomicon covers having a dragon or Dragonell as a special mount.

Best Prestige Class for Druid? Opinions?

3.5 is woefully lacking in Druid PrC's. Complete Warrior gives you Natures Warrior and Warshaper, both good at enhancing the druids combat abilities but you loose out on spells and animal companion advancement. Complete Divine is almost worse. There isn't a single PrC in there that says this...

Friendly bump from one of the players in the group.

When is a Paladin better to have in a fight than a Fighter?

Well a paladin with Divine Favor, (not sure if that is the right feat) from Complete Warrior, can spend a turning attempt and add his Charisma bonus to damage to each attack. At high levels this can easily be more than +4 per hit. Granted he could only do that as many rounds as he had turn...

    Strong Wizard Builds

Well as a starting elf wizard don't neglect the fact that you can use a long bow. At low levels shooting arrows is better than standing around doing nothing after you have used your spells for the day. Craft wand is an incredibly useful feat if your DM makes allowances for item creation...

The Liberation of Tenh (updated April 24)

Yea for updates! The pixels on the screen glow and give me joy. I really want to know what the party said to Lucius after that last comment.

The Liberation of Tenh (updated April 24)

We will belive that when we see the pixels on the screen. But I am intrigued by the potential promise of update(s).

    Help me defend an artifact!

Another good guardian for the artifact could be a fiendish Shadow Dragon. Their Shadow Blend ability makes them invisible in shadows and the only way to get rid of that ability is to use a Daylight spell. Plus the negative levels bestowed by the dragons breath weapon are nasty for everyone...

What 4th-level spells should any Wizard have?

I picked Greater Invisibility, Dimensional Door, Stoneskin, and Polymorph. Those 4 just topped my list for aiding in an arcane caster and their parties survival and versitility. I had to keep myself from just going down the line and picking Confusion, Black Tentacles, Enervation, Scrying, Wall...

What 2nd-level spells should any Wizard have?

Alter Self is one of the most useful 2nd lv wizard spells. Sure you can't fly with it anymore (unless you play FR) but it does allow you to breath underwater, swim, gain a +6 natural armor bonus and the list just keeps going on.

What core 3.5 race is the weakest?

Had to vote for the Half-Orc. The +2 to Strength is awesome for combat, but unless you are playing an all combat game there will be many situations where that bonus strength doens't make up for the hits to intelligence and wisdom. At least they could throw the Half-Orc another bone besides...

Which 3.5 class do you think is the weakest?

Had to vote for the monk. Looks great on paper but it is a tricky class to make effective. You need really high stats to be really great as a damage dealer or a lot of magical support. A lot of the abilities are great for keeping the monk alive, but that doesn't really help the rest of your...

How long have you been posting on ENWorld?

I've been lurking since about March or April of 2000, I don't think I posted till August when the PHB hit. I still remember Erics cool examples explaining AOO's. Those helped a lot in our early games when we were just getting the rules down.

Tell me, have you seen the Eberron CSB?

I believe that one of the Druid Order feats (Child of Winter?) lets you change into Vermin and adds Vermin to the Summon Natures Ally list. Plus you can affect Vermin with spells that normally target just animals. Say it with me everyone, Animal Growthed Monstrous Scorpions!

Tell me, have you seen the Eberron CSB?

Got it yesterday and what I have read is just fantastic. So many game posibilities just jump out at you saying, "USE ME!, No don't use that one USE ME!" It is like inspiration overload. Plus you can't go wrong with a setting that can have parties of psychic warrior, dinosaur riding halfling...

4th level evocation spells kind of blah?

Ice Storm is actually pretty good at 7th lv. 5d6 (17.5ave) with no save is often times better than 7d6 (24.5 or 12.25) with a save vs quite a few types of enemies. Plus most evocation spells at higher levels aren't about outright killing something as much as doing damage to multiple enemies at...

    Spell Combos

Well as a Mystic Theurge you get access to some nice effects. Spell Immunity (fireball) and setting one off ground zero work pretty well. Or Spell Immunity (Silence) and just about anything else and go after the enemy spellcasters. Acid Fog and Evards Black Tentacles are pretty brutal when...

    Choice feats for bards

Check out Dragon Song in the Draconomicon. I believe that it adds to the DC of certain enchantment spells and to various social skills. Don't have the book with me so I can't post specifics.
