The Return of House Rules: A Fractured Community

I'm sorry, I don't follow. (Well, that and I don't really see your point) Is your concern about fracturing the people that use ENWorld, or the people that don't? Frankly, when it comes to people that don't use ENWorld, I don't see how fracturing the gaming community even comes into play...

Walmart 3.5 New Release Date: 7-30-03

Can you really doubt it? Books don't come out until at least next week, plus I'm sure offering them at 41% off of cover price caused WalMart.com to have an influx of orders. I wouldn't be shocked if the delay is due to requesting more copies from WotC to fill demand.

    Wal-Mart Orders Update

I've still got processing. Of course, it's still claiming it will arrive sometime between the 7th and the 11th, which obviously isn't true anymore.

Midnight: First Impressions of Campaign Book

Interesting concept... a world where you DON'T want more detail. I'll have to check my bookstore that gets FFG books in. Maybe they'll have Midnight so I can flip through it a bit.

    Main page down?

I got it too. I was beginning to think it was just me since there was no mention on the boards.

Allright, where are those SRD updates!

It took what, almost a year for psionics to get added? Patience, young dancing bannana. WotC's Intern doesn't type that fast :D

Are the writers of WotC Dwarf lovers for 3e/3.5e?

Definitely! Seriously, though, dwarves are definitely more blessed in the benefits department. They break the very guidelines set by WotC in Savage Species - unbalanced ability score bonuses are an ECL +1 right there.

    3.5 interior pictures!

Hmm... I think it would still feel like kiddie porn to me

    [3.5] All, Some or None?

I didn't use all of the 3E rules as written, and chances are some aspects of 3.5E will get tweaked once I've absorbed it all. My game will most likely end up being a mix of 3/3.5 and it won't negatively effect it at all.

Which of your 3.0 Core Rulebooks is Most Worn Out?

The spine on my PHB never was in good shape. I've babied that thing since almost day one because of it. The pages in my MM are warped, almost like they got wet, but damned if I can figure out why they did that. I'm just hoping for a 3.5E PHB with a slightly better spine than the 3E one I had.

[3.5] WotC theory on multi-class spellcasters

Er, let me say the paladin ranger thing turned out wanky. Too wanky to just edit. Suffice to say, I still need to tweak the system to handle half casters!

[3.5] WotC theory on multi-class spellcasters

I had a thought. Slightly co-opting RangerWickett's idea, I've formulated this. First of all, each class level in which a character gains a caster level, their BCLB (base caster level bonus) increases by one. Arcane and divine levels stack. Each morning at spell preparation time, the...

    3.5 Dwarves

Based on my calculations, dwarves were already a 7 point race, when WotC was going the route of 6 points being the cutoff for ECL 0 races. Adding more abilities to them pushes them to the point where they're better than hobgoblins and lizardfolk, both ECL 1 races. Guess I'll need to be nerfing...

All the Different Types of Orcs

Half-orcs have appeared in previous works (in fact there is IIRC a half-orc wizard in Glantri whose mother was a ghost for a number of years and could only be put to rest when she saw her son). The other two, as far as I know at least, have never appeared in anything from Mystara.

All the Different Types of Gnomes

The Oostok (sp?) live on floating islands in the Hollow World and are essentially identical to sky gnomes.

List of All the Different Types of Elves

You're so close... but missing something. First there are the so-called "Southern Elves" that inhabit Belcadiz in Glantri. I'd have to check my Glantri GAZ to see what the OD&D stat difference was, but they had more of a spanish culture. Second there are the Eldar, mentioned in the Dragonking...

[WOTC] Revised Corebooks for July confirmed with info

My thoughts: RPHB is something I'm more inclined to purchase for a couple of reasons. The adjustments made to the book sound a little more interesting and the spine on my existing book never was in good shape and worries the heck out of me. If I had to wager what they're doing, I'd figure...

Dr. Seuss Competition - WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

Inspired by the wacky In-Character folk that play the iconics: One elf, two elf, Half-elf, true elf Tordek and Redgar, trading thoughts about swords. Devis amusing himself with plays on words. Mialee, Vadania, and Soveliss to boot! All gathered with Lidda and had such a hoot. Soon barbaric...
