I think it would be enjoyable for you and your group. You sound like me about 2 years ago when my group and I decided that we were having a blast playing 2e before 2000 so we went back. I agree with the Juggernaut, go start again, play, dual class, come back and tell us what it was like.

Seriously, why don't you stick with Conan d20 and True20? That's the direction a lot of people I know are going. In fact Conan 2nd edition looks pretty much exactly what I want. Anyone got a copy they'd sell before I go hunting on the net?

Yup, weekly 2e game going here. Two actually, we rotate evenings. Ravenloft and Greyhawk.

Wasn't Durkon supposed to go home posthumously? Maybe that's why Roy was never raised.

Right now I hope Roy decides to stay and not be res'd. It'd be neat to show that sometimes characters die and a new one is brought in. I think Roy is where he's supposed to be.

Dragonlance Adventures 1e I personally take a page from the Dragonlance Adventures 1e book and cap all my games at 18th level. I've only had one run there so far. My players and I like the 3rd to 11th level or so range.
