    D&D 4E 4E in 2008? Fact or Fiction?

Things that'll change? I personally think that for Spells, we've had a taste of what's to come in the XPH, largely on the matter of energy types. In a theoretical 4th ed, I wouldn't be suprised if the basic energy attack spells like Fireball become Energy Ball, and the caster picks the energy...

    Round 14 Is Over

*Deep breath*. ROGUES ARE NOT THIEVES! You can sneak attack with any weapon by hitting them somewhere it hurts, and any weapon is a valid choice if someone's playing the tricksy dirty fighting SOB. I'd rather use a big brutal weapon to take down someone fast, daggers are tools and stylish...

    Fantasy Web Comics

Broken Saints is...amazing. Let me add my recommendation to it, and reiterate the warning that it is VERY bandwidth intensive. Its not fantasy per se, but still well worth watching.

    The most powerful class?

Where can I find Monte's suggestions for reigning in the Cleric, I'm interested. And the Dragonscale Fullplate might be cheap, but I don't think Dragonscales from a Dragon big enough are just lying around. And that's not the issue, the Wild part is so you aren't AC <20 in combat.

    Round 14 Is Over

    A) And how is this automatically twinky munchkin behaviour? If the rogue wants to carve 'em up with a falchion, more power to him I say, he has to multiclass or blow the feat to do it anyway! At any rate, in 3.0 the only use for Power Attack was as a prerequisite for Cleave. B) The whole...

Where to start for the budding Lovecraftian?

Barker does a bit of the "things outside reality as we know it" with The Great and Secret Show, and its sequel Everville. He has some of Lovecraft's ideas on horror, but takes a different tact. Still worth reading though, "The Hellbound Heart" and any of the Books of Blood collections are great.

WFRP and the Warhammer novel line, is it really a shared setting?

Bingo. The current edition of WFRP is based around the recent events of the worldwide campaign for WHFB, The Storm of Chaos. AFAIK, the recent novels are also based around this invasion of the Old World by Archaon and his horde. The Storm of Chaos book might help you, the Fantasy Battle...

Where are the WotC Spell Templates?

Here's a better suggestion. Grab a few wire coathangers, and a pair of pliers. Steel Sqwire is just STUPIDLY overpriced, and they don't have a 30ft radius template for some reason.

    Round 14 Is Over

Two Weapon Fighting is a CLASS FEATURE, not a feat! How can people vote against Power Attack when it's the basic combat feat?

    The most powerful class?

Rogues are powerful, but in combat they have the problem that there are several types of creature, one of which is quite common (Undead) that just ignore sneak attack. So much for the otherwise impressive damage output of a rogue.

    D&D 4E 4E in 2008? Fact or Fiction?

2008? Doesn't sound totally unfeasible, certainly better than the doomsayer I know in meatspace who's convinced that they'll announce 4E at GenCon next year. Still, until I hear something from WotC directly, I'm sitting back and saying 4E will come out when it comes out.

    UDON Street Fighter comics

Yeah, the SF comics are pretty sweet. All I need for fighter's nirvana is a series of Guilty Gear ones, drawn by UDON or Daisuke Ishiwatari himself.

    Good noble class?

Courtier from Oriental Adventures/L5R, or Patrician from Arcanis are the best ones I've seen. Patrician I think works better, since it has strong ties to the idea of your noble estate and home turf.

    The most powerful class?

Cleric or Druid. With their spell list, beta BAB, saves, d8 HD and ability to wear armour, there is almost nothing a high-level character of any class can do that a Cleric can't do better. Complete Divine, by introducing some of its Divine feats (Divine Metamagic, Divine Spell Power) made it...

    Is this spell broken?

AFAIK, because Quill Blast is specifically Piercing damage, IE, a physical damage type, it doesn't bypass DR. I may be wrong. Yes, however, it is a horribly broken spell. Granted, it has a risk of friendly fire, but when a Druid can just turn into a bird and deliver it from fight, that really...

So... What have you heard about the Dungeons & Dragons Online game?

Oh great, this is what I was afraid of Storyteller01. Waaah, waah, Warforged, waaah waaah, it's not D&D, waaah, Eberron is teh suxx0r! Don't you think there's MORE than enough FRealms out there online, what with NWN and ID2? Plus, going with Eberron and the purposely-left-blank continent of...

Ugly (or low Charisma) = evil?

I kneel before your evil. That said, on the topic I have one word to say. Bishonen. Elaboration: Take a look at all the FF games from VII onwards. The villain is always good looking. When I run, appearance doesn't have anything to do with alignment.

Why do the Far Realms exist?

That makes 3 of us. IMC The Primordials shaped the universe out of The Beyond, the original, mad infinity that was, and wrapped a single glob of it around a shard taken from Primus, the being they created to stabilize their own pocket of infinity. This created That Which, the being that...

Touch attack for Evard's Black Tentacles?

You don't throw touch spells into a Tentacle zone, its still a grapple, so you're likely to hit the tentacles. When you first get it, its a horrendous spell. Its not great on monsters though after a short time, since you can expect to fight quite a few larges, who can easily make the grapple...
