Russet gives Scramsax a smile. I'll bear that sword in mind meself, else I'll be known as Russet One-ear! You can count on my help, friend, if you have more trouble with robbers. The Weevil and his gang were new names to Russet. history on gang: 1D20-1 = [5]-1 = 4 Did you see anyone from...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Russet Ghostfur Russet watches Jack in his element. He can't help but smile and his legs twitch restlessly under the table. Jack's energy is contagious and soon Russet leaps from his table, clumsily knocking over a barstool. He puffs out his chest and strides confidently, but swaying, to the...

Russet Ghostfur Seeing Jack swan into the tavern put a smile on Russet's face. Jack's joy and lust for life is a bittersweet memory of what he once had. He gives his old friend a wry smile. Your luck's still bad I see Jack! No way else to explain us crossing paths again. You owe me an ale...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

I like this idea. That probably would have been before the transformation. Russet's transformation is part of his character "secret". If we want to combine the events, then we could make it as you said, but rather than prevailing against the remaining bounty hunters, Russet was forced to...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

@Aethmud Great character entrance! Can you tell me a bit about Jack's backstory and personality. How do you think Russet and him know eachother?

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Russet Ghostfur Russet tried hard to avoid looking over his shoulder at the table with the mercs and the blond man. deception? to avoid looking over at table: 1D20 = [14] = 14 I heard those mercs joke about a "one-eyed-witch". Anyone heard of her? Apparently a friend of blondie over there...

Russet thinks hard. Tracking merchant caravans was a skill he had honed well, so even with his head swimming with ale, the inferences were clear to him. He gives Lumrolur a smile, trying to coax out some friendliness. He dares a hearty pat on the shoulder. Seems your hunch was right...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Russet Ghostfur The name's Russet He looks around for any gleam of recognition. Tales of his band's heroism had spread far, but tales of his treachery had spread father. But there was no use hiding who he was, his kin were rare in these parts and his snow white fur was a giveaway to anyone who...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

yeah, any special bonuses, like "advantage on poison saves", "add d4 to dex save if failed as a reaction" or whatever are too fine grained for you to keep track of. For me, whatever makes the narrative work the best is fine by me. I've also made character choices to make it as simple to run on...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Russet Ghostfur Russet listened keenly to the dwarf... at he tried to. Murders were simple. Find the baddie, bring em in. A bit of penance and some properly earned money is his pocket. As Hiln marked the towns on the map, Russet marvelled at the perfection of the circles she created so...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

@Quickleaf I'm cool with you rolling for my character. If I ask to do something and it requires a roll, just make the roll for me and incorporate my result into your resolution of the action to cut down on wait time. Likewise any saves - if I don't have a important decision to make just roll it.

Ah sorry, I will use "remove formatting" rather than going clicking black after using another colour test- is this better?

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

I didn't spend too long thinking about alignment really so not sure if chaotic good is the right one. Russet I think has a very strong idea of "fair play", actual laws don't matter too much as long, but he finds obvious injustice intolerable. He's not politically literate and struggles to see...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

In combat I'd like that, but out of combat so much fun happens in the game with nat 1s. I really love them. I'd rather roll a nat 1 than a 2-8 any day.

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [recruiting 1 player]

I have been faking dice rolls - players were suspicous I was faking natural 1s! My last PC I planned to be a streetsmart bounty hunter, but after rolling less than 5 on the dice, and plenty of nat 1s, for ALL of the first 10 or so rolls on investigation/insight/etc about anything she should...
