    Summon Undead Problem Solved?

Go for the hydras, they always seemed the best to me :D

Switching around the favored soul with the Cleric and the Shaman with the Druid

I just picked up CD yesterday, and was looking through the base classes. I really liked the idea of a spontaneous cleric and druid, and especially the twist with the shaman where you pick your "known" spells every day. What I'm wondering is is do you guys think that the spellcasting abilities...

    Imp Crit + Keen = ???

I play a hybrid 3.0/3.5 game...that is we're converting...but pretty much one rule at a time. We've discovered letting them stack doesn't really change much. I agree with Sean.

Need help with new base class

What's wrong with the paladin/ranger? Or if you wanted less fighting and more spellcasting, what's wrong with the bard?

Figuring CR for Goblins with class levels.

Just don't count the goblin as anything, it's just as good as any base race, so just treat it as a base race rather than a monster. I belive they get its stats by applying the warrior class to it.

    Looking for long clubs...

I'd say if you really want reach, then make it as a spear, just make the piercing damage into bludgeoning damage. No need to reinvent the wheel on this one.

Wind Walk is killing my campaign!

It all depends on the objective. Generally I just have stat blocks of the creatures they'll be fighting, plus a few more that I can really just throw in at any time, and I make them fight when it seems they would (this is for a campaign where my characters are teleporting across the world...

A spell that transfers life: what level?

I'd agree with nift, except to not trespass too much on the "healer's" territory, I'd make it one or two levels higher than raise dead

Celirans [Was: prehensile tails and PC races]

I like the idea of them being small, like weaker, more agile cousins to the lizardfolk (as closely related as chimps and spider monkeys or something). I also agree with tonguez idea to remove tumble completely and give thme a base climb speed. I think it'd be cool (since you keep talking about...

    A Whirlwind Question

Granted you could read the feat that way, but as...a whole bunch of people have said, it would diminish the feat greatly. As for your problems with the feat, I'd say start with 1-4 encounters with these creatures acting dumb this way, as they have no idea what the characters are capable of...

    Wizard Martial Weapon

I guess they'd coup de grace the grass, seeing as how it's pretty helpless.

What does this quill blast spell do?

    D&D 3.x 3.5 Bladed Gauntlets?

it was 17-20, that means with keen and improved crit you threatened a critical over half the time. :D I don't think I've seen it in 3.5 though...

DEFLECT MELEE ATTACK (GENERAL) et al

could we make an exact replica of the deflect arrows feat, except for melee attacks? Is the difference that so many more arrows can be fired in a round, that deflecting melee attacks is more powerful? Perhaps we should just keep the first one. That way you need your chosen weapon, and a good...

    Attacking Body Parts

This has always been an interesting idea that many people have tried to figure out how to do...but it always comes down to the same thing, and that is when you get into called shots, people will want to call a shot to the neck. Needless to say, smacking someone with an arrow right in the neck...

    For Nail - The Psion

That's true, but the arcane casters still have the really annoying (well, speaking from the DM point of view) utility spells like invisibility and such which can make or break encounters if used strategically, and fireballs are always a nice damaging spell even after the levels scale. It seems...

Anyone else think Skill Points are... wierd?

He may have int 6, but he could have wis 14, and thereby have +2 to listen and spot, unless of course he's invested some ranks into them. I mean, sure he's not GRAND, he can't hear an owl flying through the air on the other side of a brick wall, but generally +2-+6 are good for most "general"...

    Fighter/Psion

This is a travesty.... Generally, I decide to allow or not allow classes COMPLETELY as they're written as opposed to twinking them. I think there was another guy on this board a couple weeks back talking about the same DM (not many would count the soulknife's blade against his equipment cost I...

    Hordes: Zombies by the 1000s

*yoink* That's a pretty cool system...I'm not sure how balanced it is power/CR but it looks okay. Any idea on a horde of things like peasants, I know these hordes are like a crawling mass all to themselves so it's lnot like a gang of creatures, but do you have any ideas for a similar idea for...
