    Creating some new dungeon tiles

Oh yeah... I'll might also try and do another 'dungeon dressing' download with maybe a few statues... or some treasure... or whatever ...so simple stuff (i.e. things that I'll be able to draw) like that might be good to hear about too :)

    Creating some new dungeon tiles

A recent thread (started by mps42) concerning some dungeon tiles I drew a few years back, has got me in the mood to have a go at creating a few more :) So I was thinking of expanding this set: PDF Dungeon Tiles However, rather than just drawing up a few more that I 'think' might be useful, I...

    Tiefling Miniatures

I don't know how much help this will be, but if you're considering a simple conversion or two then the plastic GW beastmen mini's come with a lot of different horns that might be usable... ...here's a picture I found of the whole sprue - you can see the horns on the top right...

    Dungeon tiles

So I was going to draw up a few more of these 'waterway' tiles this week, but unfortunately my desktop computer has died :( However it looks like I have been able to save the contents of the hard-drive... and as such I've updated the website with the pdf mentioned above and also this new one...

    Dungeon tiles

Looks pretty good. I suppose something similar could be done to make them into a 'river of blood' kinda thing too.

:) in that case... here's a slightly different version I've been playing around with...

    Dungeon tiles

The floor parts did take quite some time to set up initially, as I have actually drawn the shape of each individual stone in Adobe Illustrator. I did this numerous times so that I then have around 20 individual 1x1" tiles than I can piece together to make the various shaped rooms without too...

:) Either that or they have had the 'cleaners' in...

    Dungeon tiles

OK, so the sewer tiles I mentioned yesterday don't really look much like a dirty sewer at all now that I've checked them again :( ...but they still might be usable as some kind of waterway in a dungeon or something like that. Anyway I've put them together in a pdf file (I only had to draw a...

    Dungeon tiles

Glad you like 'em :) Unfortunately I've not created any more of that style for a while now, but I've just been checking through some old files on one of my hard-drives (as I've been giving the website a bit of a facelift over the past few days, and as a result I have all my old stuff at hand)...

    Help! Town House needed

I drew a few medieval townhouse style maps a while back (D&Dified to a 5ft grid of course), and posted them in the art gallery section of the forum. They're pretty basic, but they might be of interest - so here's the links to the images to save you time (rather than searching for my old post :)...

    Kris' miniature thread

That's true - it's only really going to be of use if it is applied to a single encounter area. To be honest I was a little wary about buying a large magnetic white-board, as those things can get rather expensive - especially since I wasn't 100% sure how the whole thing would work out :) The...

If you could only own three or four Dungeon Tiles sets...

There's not much to tell really. I explained things a little over in this post over in the art/mini's forum: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showpost.php?p=4423910&postcount=33 ...and so I'd be happy to try and answer any further questions over there if you like (rather than hijack this thread any...

If you could only own three or four Dungeon Tiles sets...

Agreed :) The tiles that came with games like 'Advanced HeroQuest' were better, but IMO the current WotC line is probably the best (and sturdiest) to date :D (and not all that expensive either). The only real issue I personally have with these dungeon-tiles (or any other tiles for that matter)...

If you could only own three or four Dungeon Tiles sets...

Various companies have put out similar stuff in the past, even GamesWorkshop used to do a few sets a long time ago (on thin cardstock), but yeah it's a pity that WotC didn't come out with the current ('official D&D') line sooner. I remember when I first picked up the 3.0 books and decided to...

If you could only own three or four Dungeon Tiles sets...

It's probably worth mentioning that Dire Tombs is a nice set - but the flooring is a completely different colour to that of the other dungeon sets (and thus not very interchangeable unless you are happy to ignore the fact that some tiles will be a greyish colour and others will be a sandy...

    Kris' miniature thread

This post isn't really about miniatures, but it is related to them, and so I thought I would include it here rather than starting a new thread… Anyway... ...so far I have purchased one of each of the dungeon tile sets that WotC has put out, and on the whole I quite like them (I'm not too...

Do you have these D&D Minis? Rate 'em for me! Pictures welcome!

Not a problem :) Maybe if I had duplicates... (though doubtful - as I'm a bit of a hoarder I'm afraid) but in any case, I only have the one.

Do you have these D&D Minis? Rate 'em for me! Pictures welcome!

I have 4 of the mini's you listed... so here's a quick pic of those: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l159/csp_kris/klaus1.jpg from left to right... human wanderer / knight of the chalice / Alusair Obarskyr / Ragnara (note that the knight of the chalice looks like a male elf to me) I hope...

How do you like your maps?

As a DM I will generally go a bit overboard with maps of most kinds (i.e. a campaign map, settlement maps, location maps, building maps, dungeon maps) as I like to know what/who is where, and where 'x' is situated in relation to 'y', and how long it would take to get there etc. ...even if such...
