    I'm not entirely sure. Most of the factors were picked out of a hat, what "felt right", and tweaked a bit as I built spells. Unfortunately, I didn't make any that increased the duration like that, so I can't say which one's better. :p

No. If it's extended to a flat 24 hours, you shouldn't be able to stack another feat on that to make it level-dependent and thus make the duration ridiculously...

    The core rules are now complete. Project Phoenix has everything from the core rules and the legendary (epic) rules - I finished the monsters this past week, and put the final touches on the legendary spells this weekend. I am now going to take a much-needed break. :D

    That's what I use for Project Phoenix - fractional BAB/saves, and the +2 applies only once per save. Haven't tried it in play, but it works great on paper.

    Wow, cool. I used to use NPC Designer, because I thought it was the best one out there (I used BleedingEdge's Spell Generator for my spells), but I dropped it after I started revising 3.5 - I didn't think it would be any more use. Now that I know I can go in and tweak things, I'm all over it.
