actually, that answer is in print. you can research any number of spells. so the "max" is infinite just like the levels. not spell levels but caster levels

i guess i meant not a sequel directly with Hordes. but as a second in the series. Barrow is for 2nd lvl and Hordes for 1st. maybe it wasn't meant to be. just the timing of the release and the level give that impression. both were meh.

i think you are reading too much into what i said. i meant it ties in well with other wotc products. it has places where all of these things you have already purchased or are considering purchasing can be used with this product. those other things aren't necessary to run the product. but if...

it is all about using your wotc toys. dungeon tiles, minis, and other supplements from the environment series. the folder is very weak so be careful with it. i'd say throw it away, but it has charts inside. :\

and the second in the series by Ed Stark hasn't faired much better in reviews.
