You think the warmage is overpowered? Why's that? All he can do is blow things up. No invisibility, no fly, no utility spells whatsoever - just damage. After one or two damage-dealing spells per level, anything more just isn't that helpful. What did you find overpowering about it?

There's a spell in CW that basically tricks an opponent into believing it's flanked. I forget what it's called, but it's worth looking into, especially if there's a rogue in the party.

Good point. I'm thinking of possibly restricting metamagic and item creation feats to wizards (and clerics and druids) to represent the difference between studied, ordered magic and the wild, chaotic stuff. I've definitely thought about doing spells randomly, or otherwise preselecting them...
