    Paragons of neutral good

I was going to say Gandalf, but I suspect he may be more Chaotic Good (in his Gandalf form ... as Olorin I'm pretty sure he's Lawful Good).

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim

That's it, I'm putting my dog to work cutting movie trailers. Time the mooch earned his kibble.

D&D General Drow as in Cow or Drow as in Snow: Where did the Dark Elves Come From?

Precisely ... Prose Edda is a source for both Tolkien and Gygax, though Tolkien cites his sources and Gygax doesn't. Black elves / svartafs go back at least to the prose Edda, though as I understand they're more dwarfy than elfy in D&D terms ... but then what's an elf, and what's a dwarf?

Christmas Battle Royale: Battle of the Scrooges

Man, tough one -- some great performances in there. My top 3: 1. Michael Caine 2. George C. Scott 3. Patrick Stewart

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

Per level? How about per session? In my day, we showed up for the session with four characters per player and a dozen hirelings, and sometimes had to roll up more before the end of the session!

    Candyland

I've always wondered what would happen if Candyland were a roleplaying game. It's got a setting, locations, villains and treasures, and it's a railroad. Seems like a perfect fit.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim

I liked it; 7/10 overall. I'm not much of an anime fan in general. The animation felt a bit choppy at first but eventually fell away and I forgot I was watching an animated film. If there were anime tropes, I didn't notice them. I though the characters needed a little more introduction, and it...

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

I hope they adapt something like Eisenhorn -- an ensemble bit, build around Inquisitors or Rogue Traders or something else adventure like with some variety. I haven't been as impressed with the "bolter porn" variety of WH40K fiction.

Make your own Hallmark Christmas movie plot using the provided generator

Needs two more columns for one shot Xmas D&D Modern (or CoC, or Delta Green) adventures: (1) ... who are suddenly threatened/kidnapped/frightened/deported/enslaved/stalked by (2) ... Krampus/a demonic Santa/Evil elves/a faceless corporation/Donald Trump/Elf on the Shelf/a rogue...

    Your Favorite Holiday Special

    1. John Denver & the Muppets. Still my favorite Christmas album. 2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Classic stop motion, great Burl Ives music. 3. Charlie Brown. 'Cause, you know, classic. Honorable Mention to the horrible variety show known as the Star Wars Christmas Special.

Hasbro Stock Price Surges After Elon Musk Makes Comments About Purchasing Company

How do I get to the timeline where I have a volcano lair, and my laser has cut Elon in half?

D&D General Elon Musk Wants To Know 'How Much Is Hasbro?'

Yeah, I know. I work with a number of large publicly traded companies in my day job and their ability to do long term damage to themselves in the interest of short term gain is mind-boggling. Whereas what Elon does is out of active malice. I think the best defense is humor. Name & shame, laugh...

I detest Hasbro but I certainly wouldn't want Elon to ruin it further.

Because Elon Musk is who we turn to for D&D news and criticism.

D&D Movie/TV Hasbro Getting Out Of The Movie Business

That's fine ... though I'd argue the overall success rate of D&D games is lower than the overall success rate of movies, and the big games are equally expensive to produce. They aren't all going to be Baldur's Gates or Gold Boxes.
