Pathfinder 1E Working on my first Pathfinder Adventure. Wondering if I'm doing it right...

That sounds pretty awesome. Well, what did you learn from it? Is there anything that you would cut out of the process next time? Maybe transcribing all the statblocks? Also, have you had the session yet?

    Lots of Healing...

Well, the thing is, I'm not convinced that it's anything that needs fixing... it's just that this is the first Pathfinder game that my group has played and it's light on combat, so it's hard to tell if the entire rest of the game is balanced proportionate to the increased healing.

    Lots of Healing...

Thinking back, I don't think it has been an issue, but I didn't realize that the channel affects ALL living creatures within the burst. That is definitely good to know. But still, it seems really powerful. A level 3 Cleric can heal the entire party between fights for 2d6 hp per burst at a...

Pathfinder 1E Working on my first Pathfinder Adventure. Wondering if I'm doing it right...

....yeeeeeeeah... that's a long time. Unless your encounters are so good that they rival the best published adventures, I would say this is too much time. Why did it take 12 hours to make 10 encounters? Were you planning lots of background information? Was it difficult to find the monsters...

Pathfinder 1E GM in need of assistance, Pathfinder

You MUST assume that the players will ALWAYS mess it up! :D For real though, in my opinion you should either have ways out or be willing to go with the flow. If the result of this NPC staying alive is what is really vital to the campaign, then make it available in some other way if the PCs...

Can a Lawful Good character be flexible and fun to play?

I haven't read all of the replies here, but I wanted to mention something that I usually remind myself of when considering the LG alignment: Almost everyone that you have ever known (in real life) is LG. They generally obey the law and respect authority and tend towards moral goodness. Even...

    Lots of Healing...

I'm currently running a horror game set in the Pathfinder world. There is very little combat so far, but I have noticed a huge spike in the Cleric's ability to heal, specifically in the channeling positive energy for a burst healing effect. Because the campaign is so combat-lite it hasn't...

Pathfinder 1E Working on my first Pathfinder Adventure. Wondering if I'm doing it right...

As long as you have the basics in mind, planning encounters isn't TOO time consuming unless your PCs are higher level. How long did it take you to construct 10 encounters?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Thanks a lot guys! You've helped tremendously!

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Oh, I don't mean mimics the FLUFF of the other campaign settings. I mean more like mimic the mechanics with added rules or greater emphasis on certain rules. But, I guess, a little bit of the fluff is ok. For instance, Ravenloft is gothic horror; Ustalav is gothic horror. Dark Sun is desert...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Well, looking at the world of Golarion, it seems like they intended to include a region for every campaign setting (or many). Ustalav has Ravenloft. There's a desert-like one for Dark Sun, but I forget its name. And so on. I guess I was wondering if any APs take place in one of those regions...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Another question: are there any APs that sort-of mimic any of the older campaign settings?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

So, the general opinion is... All of the APs are pretty good, but each is different and will suit different groups better than others. Second Darkness gets slightly less favorable reviews, Council of Thieves has some issues for some groups, and Kingmaker is rated pretty high by most. All of...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Is Rise of the Runelords... wonky, like a lot of "first in the line" products sometimes are?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Are there any particular quirks to any of the APs that you can think of? Anything that really breaks the norm for a regular D&D game of adventuring and killing monsters?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

So, is there any controversy over any of the other adventure paths, or is it just CoT?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Well, I love to run horror games and that's actually the type that I'm running now (set in Golarion with Pathfinder rules). This game is gothic horror, but the group likes all kinds of horror. They also like campaigns that make you think, campaigns with a storyline with a twist, and DON'T like...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

Everyone seems to be in agreement - that's great news! So, are there any Adventure Paths that just aren't that good and aren't worth running when I could be running a different one instead?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Adventure Paths

I'm interested in the Pathfinder Adventure Paths, but I read that about half of them are made with the new Pathfinder rules in mind, while the other half are made for 3.5E. So, I'd like to know if the ones made for 3.5 are good to use for the current rules for Pathfinder. Or, are they a little...
