@Art Waring - I agree with everything you are saying, but I'm also sticking with my original post. IF...everything went straight to the crapper and 3rd party folks could no longer publish ANY new material without the restraints of whatever WotC puts on them, the gaming community as it is right...

I've always wanted to make the trip to Paizo Con...and I bet this year's con is going to be stacked! Would love to go! Anybody already signed up to go?

Do we really need any new gaming material? Really? There's enough published material available to the gaming community to run games into the next millennia and beyond. We'll be fine.

I downloaded the free Player's Handbook 7th printing and the Monsters & Treasures 3rd printing. Do I need to upgrade to the most recent printings to play or can I run with these?

Here is my work from Week 1. Two rooms, one item, some inhabitants/monsters, and a group. Tomorrow I'll work on a rumor or a hook for the adventurers to explore Beyond the Golden Falls (my working title for now).

I don't give three $#!+$ what happens to WotC or the OGL. Like many others, I have enough materials to game two lifetimes. If WotC were to crash and burn today, I'd go home, start a fire, grab a bottle of brown water, and celebrate the defeat of the BBEG.

Okay...I kinda get all of that. How does it work for attacks? Say, Igor attacks an Ogre with his sword, or Markus casts a fireball at a group of Gnolls.
