    Multiclass Combos

Without having seen too many powers, it's hard to evaluate. I think a rogue/wizard will be at least as popular as ever, especially if you can pick up spells that grant combat advantage. Warlock/paladin looks fun as an annoyer (I challenge you, but I'm invisible, and you're afraid of me, and...

    Core Rulebook Questions

I don't think he's messing. I had it from one of the WotC folks at DDXP that gnomes would be a natural choice for warlocks. Though it's an odd contrast that gnomes and tieflings are good at the same stuff.

    Minions and fixed damage

Remember, there was a design & development post that mentioned that they'd considered doing away with damage rolls entirely. They decided against it, not because it didn't work, but because a lack of damage dice made it feel not like D&D anymore. What would D&D be without polyhedral dice?

    Core Rulebook Questions

Seconded, especially the at-wills. Other "limiting factors" (like how many warlock paragon paths are available to all three pacts) are of critical interest to me. What the "build options" are for paladins, clerics, and wizards are. Tidbits on the playable MM races--stat mods and signature...

JUST BOUGHT KEEP ON THE SHADOWFELL FROM BARNES & NOBLES

God, I hope so. Delivery Estimate: June 17-June 23 is what I'm getting, with a ship date of June 10. Can't they at least ship it on the release date? Or even the 5th--no way it's going to arrive same day.

JUST BOUGHT KEEP ON THE SHADOWFELL FROM BARNES & NOBLES

Oh. thank God. As of DDXP, Blinded gave only a -4 to Perception, but Deafened was -10. Idiotic.

    The new point-buy?

Which would suck, meaning that the pregen arrays are weaker than point-buys. Arrays should be at least as good, if not slightly better, than custom builds.

D&D 4E 4E PHB Viewing at Games Plus, what we saw

Well... clearly the point buy system we've been using (Totoro's) isn't the correct one. Back to the drawing board. Edit: Okay, I've gone over the pregens that we have (both DDXP and KotS) and I can't find any way that 25-point buy would be possible, unless there's a bizarre nonlinear mechanic...

D&D 4E 4E PHB Viewing at Games Plus, what we saw

Warlocks only get 4? How does that work? The DDXP warlock's powers, except for Eldritch Blast, all had the Warlock (Fey) designation. Does that mean that warlocks get no at-will power selection, and minimal other power selectio? I mean, if there are 4 at-wills, one is Eldritch Blast (Warlock...

Is it time for a new setting?

Nothing whatsoever has been retconned. They've been adamant about that. I gather that it basically blew up during the Spellplague, and was replaced by the continent with the brand-new dragonborn empire which gated in from Abeir.

    Detect Magic is Dead

Ironically... I'm a technophile, to an extent. I've owned 2 MP3 players, 3 digital cameras, and 4 cell phones. I rarely read manuals. I put my computers together from individual parts. I programmed games on my TI-81 in high school. And yet I've fiddled around with an iPod in a store for at...

Is it time for a new setting?

Lucid argument, there. Yes, they did. To do otherwise would prevent players from being able to use their favorite material in that setting. And aside from the steampunk factor, how is this different from FR, Grayhawk, or the new implied default setting? Why design a setting that is...

Is it time for a new setting?

We'd get either Kara-tur as part of FR, or Rokugan as its own setting, I'd bet.

    KotS FAQ up at WotC

Can someone please post what the "correct" and "incorrect" rules for charging and healing the dying are?

    D&D 4E 4e Coup de Grace

In the Core Coliseum, wizards frequently carry around Large dwarven waraxes. They're at -6 to hit with them, but 6d8-3 damage makes for a healthy CdG. Too often we've had someone try to CdG with a light crossbow, wake the victim up, and die.

    D&D 4E 4E PrRC ~v2.7~ FINAL UPDATE May 29.08

Caught another error: Justiciar's Just Radiance should be Close Burst 5, not Melee Weapon.

Unless we're talking about the dragon, which gets +5 to saves.

    Excerpt: the quest's the thing

I really like that idea. Maybe I'll steal it at some point. My current group is pretty good, but my last group was so bad we had to make up little signs that said "In Character" for them to hold up the rare times they wanted to be serious.

Excerpt: You and Your Magic Items

Wait, what? WotC releases books.Your players like the content in those books and think they would enjoy playing in a game that supports them. You don't like the content in those books and would prefer not to use them. You get mad at WotC for creating products that people like, and mad at your...
