    Concerning buying D&D 4th Edition

I visit my FLGS regularly. My wife and I buy some game accessories from them (dice, etc.), pay to participate in tournaments and auctions, and occasionally snacks. Very rarely we'll pick up an immediate gratification item. There's also occasionally things that are next to impossible to get at...

The words "Action Point" being missing from the short description were pretty key. So we'll have rogues riding dire wolves. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Ah, so it's more like the ranger and warlock: pick one of two primary stats, or maybe but not necessarily both. Thanks a lot.

    Rituals

Assuming there isn't a higher-level ritual along the lines of True Resurrection. This is no different from 3e. Didn't folks who've gotten the PHB report Detect Secret Doors as being considerably more expensive?

"My hat of flight noes know limits"

Wasn't there also a cleric paragon path that gives you wings? Or are they temporary wings that go away after 5 minutes?

To follow up on this: 1) Can you give us an example of what Dex does for a wizard, what Int does for a Warlock, and what Cha does for a cleric? I think we have a good idea about the rest of them. 2) For a paladin, Str is primary and Cha secondary? That seems odd--most of the paladin stuff...

Can you explain a little more about: and all the Channel Divinity feat powers? <Sigh> And it sucks again. The preview version (3 + 1/level) was pretty solid, but not a must-have. 5/tier--1 per 2 levels--is crap. They lied to me... at DDXP, they said this no longer existed. Well, it makes some...

Well, yes... you count as being a ranger, but you don't count as being a ranger with the two-weapon fighting style. So a cleric could take Kensei, but not Stormwarden.

    WotC Badger Online Content Bonus?

A failure to include badger minions would constitute a betrayal. They must be in. And we must kick them.

Nooooo...! It's impossible to pick up a ranger paragon path if you're not a ranger, I guess. So much for that hope. Oh, well, I'm sure one of the cleric PPs will work for my cleric/ranger.

My request: paragon paths. We've seen a list of them; can someone post the entry requirements and general gist/theme of each? Also, can someone confirm whether there's exactly one class-specific multiclass feat for each class?

Just posting to make you all jealous, I HAVE THEM

This. It not only makes thematic sense, it also neatly removes the Tarrasque's traditional biggest weakness. I love it. This too. I can see from this and other powers that a high-Wis ranger is going to be an awesome thing. My first character, the elven cleric/ranger, will definitely be using...

    KOTS: The After Action Report

I had to admit that the wizard didn't really do much for me at first, either. A party needs one, maybe two, area effect to wipe minions, and a dragonborn, a half-elf, or Arcane Initiate accomplish this just fine. Force Orb and Acid Arrow had their moments, but they were only moments--the...

    The Arms Race of Races

We don't have them fully. We have +2 Insight and +2 Diplomacy, Group Diplomacy (allies within 10 get +1 Diplomacy), one bonus at-will power from another class usable as an encounter power, and they can take elven or human racial feats as well as their own. Stat mods are +2 Cha definitely, plus...

World setting, and your upcoming plans...

For the time being, I'm basing a homebrew setting on Robert Asprin's MYTH books. By doing that, I get to specifically delineate some "points of light" as being the homeworlds of all the PC races (e.g. Tief and Elfheim) as well as a couple of other races (Orciah, Gno, and Deva so far)...

Eladrins, Tieflings, Dragonborn Too Far Outside Standard Fantasy?

I'm actually going to be basing my first 4e campaign loosely on the MYTH cosmology. It's a neat way to run PoL and allow for absolutely anything. Aahz has a great tiefling temperament, even if he's green and scaly (his race is called the "Pervects" but everyone calls them "Perverts"), and...

Clerics need a wis of 20.

I personally thought the cleric was badass. I played the cleric in Sembia, and the ranger in Scalegloom, and now I want my first PC to be a cleric--after being a big cleric-hater in all previous editions. Going with Totoro's point-buy, a 20 Wis leaves you with 6 points to distribute. Let's be...

    Nope. That's Grāpple, not grapple.

A few comments from a playtester

No, two-handed weapon. Draw the rod (it's weapon-like, so you can draw it as part of a move) while holding (but not wielding) the weapon in one hand, use and drop the rod, switch grip to both hands, and attack. This is off-topic, though.
