How about a level 20 Fighter/Barbarian gestalt build? I'd have to go Half-Orc Frenzy Champion in this case. 6 attacks each round with advantage and a 15% chance of critting on each hit for 5d12+21 damage :)

I wouldn't mind playing a high level Haff-Orc Champion/Barb crit fishing build one day maybe in a one shot campaign. I wouldn't want to play such a character in a long term campaign though.

It's no surprise that these two classes mesh well with each other to kill things. So strictly thinking about a level 20 character, and not taking account of how we got there, what do you think the best balance would be? Fighter1/Barb19 - Gets you a fighting style, second wind, and heavy armor...

I think the Ranger is a pretty strong class especially after the revision. The Hunter archetype is specifically strong. The Beastmaster is much improved, but I wish you could choose between using the Beast's Coordinated Attack OR making a second attack with your Ranger. Even the Deep Stalker...

No class is perfect of course. Even the Pally could use some tweaks, but I still maintain that it is the strongest class from top to bottom.
