If a Doppelganger kidnaps a Wizard, assumes it's form, and has it's spellbook, can it cast the wizard's spells? I'm thinking no, but figured I would ask anyway.

I feel like all of the heavy armor Clerics do well in melee given all they have to offer besides striking damage. Assuming the character is played correctly of course.

I'm curious as to what people are considering "good" at melee. I think I'm gonna start a thread about it, I think the War and Tempest, and even the Life Cleric to an extent, are GOOD at melee.

I would personally just add a +1 to Con on top of the regular Human stat boosts. It makes sense to me.

Yeah they'll only be unarmed to start. They'll be able to get the usual equipment after they break out. Level 1 goes by so quickly, "breaking out" may be the entire level and they'd reach level 2 upon completion.

If I need to let him have an arcane focus, I can. That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm ok with him being extremely limited, as they all will be. I just don't want him to be totally useless in the first encounter or two.

I very much enjoy my Long Death Monk. He particularly excels in combat. I play him as socially awkward on purpose so he's fun in cities and towns too. I think more people should give them a chance.
