Gloom Stalker / Assassin: sick multiclass?

Gloom Stalker 5, Fighter 2, Assassin 3 Archer with Alert and longbow and Hunter's Mark First round Attack, Attack, Attack, Action Surge, Attack, Attack, Attack. Add 1d6 to each attack for Hunter's Mark and 2d6 for sneak damage for one hit. Advantage on all attacks if the enemy hasn't gone...

Linking feats/ability improvements to Character level, any good reasons not to?

It's really no worse than rolling for stats and starting with an 18 or 20 in your main stat or having four 16s as that trivializes ASIs anyway.

    The perfect all Rogue party?

I like this. It would be one hell of a first round indeed. Imagine how the first round would go for 5 level 17 Thieves with all of them getting 2 turns lol

    The perfect all Rogue party?

I thought about having one of them(Assassin maybe?) be a Bugbear for those reasons. He wouldn't need to have 18-20 Str but a 14 or maybe even 16 should be easy to come by without hurting Dex too much. I do like the Moderately Armored feat for Rogues.

    The perfect all Rogue party?

The Thief has the Healer feat. I guess you didn't see it. Good call on Observant. I agree it is a good feat. I only listed 2 or 3 feats for all of them so there would almost certainly be room for one or more of them to grab it. I also think one or two of them should pick up Ritual Caster too.

Linking feats/ability improvements to Character level, any good reasons not to?

I've done it before and it works out ok. They're so few and far between anyway, and over-multiclassing already puts off important class features for a long time.

    The perfect all Rogue party?

Good call on the Herbalism kit. I like that idea. The Thief DOES have the Healer feat, and the Swash has Inspiring Leader.

    The perfect all Rogue party?

So I was thinking how fun it would be to have an all Rogue party and how viable it would be. The I started thinking about how I would do it, and this is what I came up with. I actually think this would be a great party. Swashbuckler - Pirate background, Expertise in Stealth, Acrobatics...

D&D 5E (2014) Archery Fighter level progression: Multiclass now or later?

Your hp are going to be extremely low. Good luck! lol

D&D 5E (2014) Archery Fighter level progression: Multiclass now or later?

I'd probably multiclass after Fighter 6. Maxing Dex is important, but I'd be nervous about having a +0 modifier in Con too. If you go Rogue 3 then Ranger 3 it will be forever until you get another ASI. I'd be tempted to go Rogue 5 next because Uncanny Dodge is great, you get the 3rd sneak damage...

    Allowing Vicious Mockery via telepathy

I've gotten some pretty interesting and contrasting answers. Thanks for all the replies so far. I think I'm 100% down with letting a PC with telepathy use any spell that only requires V to work this way as long as they're in range. I just like the flavor too much. Of course if this leads to...

    Revised Ranger update

Put +4 into Con instead of Wis and you just doubled it's hp. Even going +2 Con and +2 Wis increases it's hp by 50%. I do generally agree with what you're saying though.

Putting together an archery build, could use some advice

Consider Ranger 5/Rogue X for archery. Ranger Hunter makes a great archer. Both Colossus Slayer and Horde breaker are great options for archers. Hunter's Mark adds some extra damage. I really like Scout Rogue for archers too. Gloom Stalker Rangers make great Archers too. Gloom Stalker 5/Assassin...

    Allowing Vicious Mockery via telepathy

0 There aren't a lot of ways to get telepathy so I don't see a problem

    Chameleon's Revised Ranger

I like the companions getting ASI bumps every 4 levels as I think they should be able to grow just like the Ranger. I agree with everything else though.

Most powerful feature at each level???

I know this is nearly impossible but lets give it a go anyway. Just curious what everybody thinks is the strongest feature at each level across all classes 1. This is tough. I'm gonna go with Rage for the time being 2. Portent is the first thing that comes to mind, but Action Surge should be...

    Allowing Vicious Mockery via telepathy

How broken would it be? I'm talking about like maybe a Ghostwise Halfling or GOOlock. I love the flavor of inflicting psychic damage telepathically. If it's too broken as is, what about doing it with Subtle spell so it at least comes at a cost and couldn't be spammed indefinitely?

    D&D 5E (2014) War Cleric/Fighter build questions

I agree with Fighter 1, then Cleric 1, then back to Fighter but I would probably stay Fighter for a while maybe even up to Fighter 11, and THEN go back to Cleric for a few levels. I also agree with the HAM feat, and then bumping Str to 18 before anything else or even 20 then grabbing War...

    Chameleon's Revised Ranger

So does your Ranger get 2 attacks at level 5? Does the companion get ASIs every 4th level like the Ranger? I like your revisions overall especially to the base class although the capstone is still a bit weak even though it's much better than Foe Slayer. I'd almost say keep Foe Slayer's...

    Revised Ranger update

The original Undying Light Warlock was the most OP offering I've seen from the UA. Searing Vengeance was just bonkers for a level 6 ability.
