    character portrait

Well... The best thing would be to find a piece of art on the web, as this character of mine has a good chance never actually making it to play, if you get my drift... Our campaigns tend not to last long (either a premature death or a premature "retirement")

    character portrait

I'm creating a 1st level female drow fighter named Kiaolmea for a Forgotten Realms campaign. She is the expertise type fighter. Could anyone please point me to a webpage where I might find a character portrait of Kiaolmea? (for non-commercial use of course) thanx

Can anyone help me finding a cool character sheet, preferably for the Forgotten Realms? Thanx

    My campaign's Alt.Ranger

Not so. Monte Cook's ranger does not have Bluff nor Sense Motive as class skills. A number of feats are included in my list of bonus feats which are not included on Monte Cook's (some PHB and MoTW feats): Alertness, Extra Favored Enemy, Run, Supernatural Blow, and Greater Two-Weapon Fighting...

    My campaign's Alt.Ranger

This is the ranger in my campaign. The reason I wanted to change the core class was because of spell casting (which I never understood why the ranger had), and because I thought he was rather weak. Monte Cook's ranger was a little overpowered IMHO. THE RANGER HAS ALL THE PHB STATISTICS, EXCEPT...

Undead Dream from Return to the Tomb of Horrors

I am looking for a conversion of the Undead Dream from the Return to the Tomb of Horrors (2nd edition). Any ideas?

    New Feat: Off-Hand Parry

Not exactly a new feat, as it is already described in Sword and Fist. However, I thought it was too weak (why block with your off-hand weapon for a measly +2 AC instead of using it to attack your enemy?), and made some changes. The major change is how the off-hand weapon's enhancement bonus is...

    New Feat: Strike Undead

At first it was just a feat which allowed any intelligent fighter-typewith some knowledge of undead to strike such creatures with critical hits. It turned as below, where the strong fighter-type smashes undead to pulp with a powerful bludgeoning weapon (which has been the bane of undead for a...

    New Feat: Strike Undead

Some thoughts... I really don't want it to be a divine feat, as no core class in my campaign-world has the ability to turn undead. The reason I put Expertise as a prerequisite was to state that one needed to fight in an intelligent manner, and apply that (together with your knowledge of undead)...

    New Feat: Strike Undead

Strike Undead [General] You know how to strike undead to best destroy them. Prerquisite: Expertise, 5 ranks in Knowledge (necrology). Benefit: You can score critical hits against corperal undead. Special: This feat allows for corperal undead to be affected by the rogue's sneak attack and the...

    Knowledge (monster lore)

Thanx for replies, I'll check the PHB for the Knowledge skill and Bardic Lore.

    Knowledge (monster lore)

hmmm.... Maybe it could be divided simply into to seperate Knowledge skills. Knowledge (monster lore), and Knowledge (necrology). Monster lore would cover every creature except undead. This makes sense for my campaign, as undead are quite common. But still, how would I set the DC? What exactly...

    Knowledge (monster lore)

I need some help with how to make the Knowledge (monster lore) work. In the Ravenloft book, they make the character select a specific type of monster (Knowledge [aberration]), and mention that "these skills can be used to evaluate a character's knowledge of the habits or weaknesses of the chosen...

    Hardness of gems

I wonder if the hardness, and hit points for sapphires are listed somewhere. If not, what would be reasonable hit point and hardness scores?

    Soulreaver (new class)

Thank you for the ideas and suggestions. Some points though: I do use the "natural 1" rule, and it was part of the balancing process for the Concentration check. You suggested either 13 + (2 x spell level), or 15 + (2 x spell level) as the DC for the check, pointing out that a soulreaver could...

    Soulreaver (new class)

The soulreaver is a new class in my campaign-world, and I need some feedback (especially on balance issues). Please forgive possible misspellings, as English is not my first language. First a little background: My campaign-world used to a generic campaign-world, ruled by large theocratic...

    all undead as templates

:D Obviously there must be some sort of restrictions on who can take the template and not. In my campaign that is not really a problem, as gelatinous cubes don't have souls (and thus cannot be undead).
