    Why do people hate Elfkind?

Like, gag me with an ork!

    Why do people hate Elfkind?

Definately Complete Book of Elves from 2nd Ed. and people who play elves like the biggest stuck up pr!cks the universe has ever known (often on advice of the aforementioned Complete Book of Elves).

Enchanting Cold Iron: Extra 2000gp each time or once?

I think my main irritation with the FAQ ruling is that cold iron gives no advantage that is worth the price of 2000 gp per time you upgrade.

Enchanting Cold Iron: Extra 2000gp each time or once?

A interpretation on the text for cold iron recently came up and I am curious what the opinion on ENWorld is. From the SRD the text on Cold Iron says: This iron, mined deep underground, known for its effectiveness against fey creatures, is forged at a lower temperature to preserve its delicate...

Melee Weapon Mastery stacking with other feats

Actually, the Sage did address this issue with a "No" As much difference as that seems to make to anybody... ;)

Unearthed Arcana Varient Rogue - Sneak Attack for Fighter Feats

You are indeed correct on the nature of my post. Presuming the majority of those who voted understood the question (something some of the posts cause me to doubt both for and against..), it does appear that the majority don't think qualifying for the Fighter Level X feats with variant rogue...

Unearthed Arcana Varient Rogue - Sneak Attack for Fighter Feats

So you would allow the rogue to have a 'virtual BAB' for the purposes of qualifying for fighter feats? So the rogue would qualify gor Weapon Finesse (+1 BAB prereq) at first level?

Unearthed Arcana Varient Rogue - Sneak Attack for Fighter Feats

Yes, but what is you view on rogue levels counting as fighter levels for the purpose of feat qualification?

I... don't think he meant what you think he meant... :uhoh:

Unearthed Arcana Varient Rogue - Sneak Attack for Fighter Feats

Weapon Specialization is the easiest example, Greater Two-Weapon Fighting would be another. To be honest, it never occured to me that there would be anything other then Fighter exclusive feats that this question might apply to.

Unearthed Arcana Varient Rogue - Sneak Attack for Fighter Feats

I am somewhat torn on the question myself, but I am leaning toward the Bonus feats counting the rogue levels as fighter levels. Sneak attack is a lot to give up.

Unearthed Arcana Varient Rogue - Sneak Attack for Fighter Feats

In Unearthed Arcana, one of the varient class features for the rogue is to substitute bonus feats as a fighter for sneak attack. The question is this: Should the rogue's levels count at fighter levels for the purposes of feat qualification?

    Greetings fellow user of hyperbole!

Area spells and evasion in closed rooms

Are you kidding!?!?!?!?! The bullet proof logic and realism of hit points is SO well established I feel no need to go into it here! ;)

Area spells and evasion in closed rooms

Evasion would work just fine in the above situation. Basically put, Evasion is just one of many things in D&D that don't make sense if you think about it too hard or look for a logical reason why it works.

    Hide in plain sight question.

If I understand you correctly, then you reinforcing my point. Though there are many reasons to be flat-footed, there is no difference between someone who is flat-footed for whatever reason. Of course there are exceptions, uncanny dodge for example. But baring an exception, if you are...

    Hide in plain sight question.

Not quite. Flat-footed = flat-footed so unseen = unseen. If you cannot see someone, then why does it matter why you can't see them? A rogue wearing a ring of X-ray vision and using a Brilliant Energy weapon could strike an opponent leaning against a wall from the other side. Would you argue...

    Hide in plain sight question.

All very true. In the event of a failed Spot check, what is the difference? After all, there is a difference between flat-footed during the suprise round (you were not aware you were in combat) and flat-footed because it isn't you haven't acted yet in the combat (low initiative = you know you...
