Price of Plate Armor

I dunno, but I'm glad. Studded leather has never been portrayed realistically; it always seems to be black leather armor with little metal buttons 6 or more inches apart....

    Question about Magic Holy Symbols

I see all the deities as belonging to one overall pantheon, so perhaps there are generic holy symbols used by all the deities? And perhaps the deities view holy symbols as a sort of "capture the flag" sort of thing. Bahamut wants you to take Bane's holy symbol and use it for good. The...

    Can Minions gain temporary hp?

To be really mean, the DM can secretly rule that when a minion with temp damage gets hit, it goes down — temporarily. Then it gets up 2 rounds later. Surprise!

    Value of low-light vision?

This is why kobolds always have candles... dim light they can see in. Let's go and take all their candles! (or do they have darkvision? I forget....)

Can you do a "diamond" shaped blast?

Given all the slip, slide, shift, and salsa powers and effects in the game, even a small amount of coordination with your party members will allow you to get a good shot at the baddies. Of course, those same baddies will be using their powers to thwart you... but that's the fun of the game.

Can you do a "diamond" shaped blast?

No. For sake of speed and simplicity, you can't angle your blasts like that. They are square, always.

    City Ordinance re: ornamental statuary

You'd also think that the law would mandate that all dead bodies are to be cremated, to avoid the perennial problems of necromancers raising armies of undead, and PC necromancers doing the same "for a good reason, honest, I'm gonna use all these zombies to protect an orphanage or something!"...

Monster Manual: What's missing which has impacted you?

That's because D&D is the game of killing things and taking their stuff, and humanoids have the most stuff! No offense to your friend, but "skum"?!? Sounds more like a supervillain than a monster. Plus we already have kuotoa and sahau... shahua... shahua... those sharky fish people. You want a...

    Minions and Temp HP

Part of the joy of minions is not worrying about tracking their HP. No temp hit points for you, minions!

    Lava: where are the rules?

Yes, if it's a significant obstacle. Treat it like a trap.

Is Coup de Gras too weak?

I just say CDG. It stands for Crush Da Goober.

    Lava: where are the rules?

What happens? You end up getting married, have some kids, then grow apart and end up in a bitter divorce. Oh, fall in lava? Nevermind....

    Why shuriken?

Plus it cuts down on competition. 3.5 DM: You find a +2 mighty composite flaming longbow. Ranger: Dibs! Rogue: Dibs! Elf Cleric: Dibs! Elf wizard: Dibs! Elf monk: Dibs! Elf Warlock/Dervish/Ur Priest: Dibs!

    Lava: where are the rules?

I'd just follow the guidelines in the DMG about traps and hazards; not all lava needs to be the same. Some lava pools might be deadlier than others. Considering that a person would not sink in lava, I think you should just take a lot of damage, catch on fire, and try to get to safety ASAP...

Is Coup de Gras too weak?

Watch out for rouges and their marital exploits.

    Why shuriken?

Is Coup de Gras too weak?

I don't feel the need to have a super deadly CDG rule. You want to kill Bob the Barber in his sleep? Fine, he's probably a minion anyways. Want to kill Brunhilda the Battler while she's napping? Not so easy.

    Wizards and Armour

Want to wear armor, sure, go ahead! It's not like in 3e where you could add a zillion spell buffs to protect you on top of your armor.

What kind of PC game do you want from 4E?

Other: You see a virtual game group of D&D geeks sitting around a table playing the game.

D&D 4E Completed 4e Druid (Updated 7/11, New Items; More Versatile)

Why a bonus to reflex saves? Druids have traditionally been a "wiil and fort" class.
