Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga OOC

No hard feelings Jrag. :D I'm a pretty harsh DM as far as combat goes, but I assure you that these guys are all appropriate CR and all that rot. Fear not, though, PC death in my games always leads to some interesting adventure opportunites. Would you like an NPC to play in the short duration...

Help me decide what game to run next!

That's a really good idea! And I'm all for monstrous PCs, but in this instance if I allowed one I'm sure I'd see a ton, yet it wouldn't be fair to just offer the option to one player. I'm seriously considering allowing Undead from Zeakaden, however, and simply making sure the party doesn't have...

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga

The Arena Rain sprays off the end of Karnak's ponytail as he thunders, a blur, toward Teak. His pick dangles and jostles in a fist before the orc, all bulging veins and adrenaline, pours into Teak, the pick tip punching through Teak's last-minute shield, through the metal scale stretched taut...

Help me decide what game to run next!

If I combine Rivets and Troupe the origins of the troupe would be a little different. While if I use Forgotten Realms the troupe would be a legitimate acting troupe, in Rivets they'd begin as an acting troupe but would also use their powers of pretending in other aspects, masquerading as a...

Help me decide what game to run next!

I'm heading out of town this weekend, but right now I'm thinking about combining Troupe and Rivets. :D There's really not a steampunk game on the boards, and most people seem to be interested in the party makeup of Troupe as opposed to the actual setting.

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga

The Arena The observers are mixed. Some give toothy cheers and lusty shouts at the appearance of Blacktooth, the mutant orc Warboss Junga keeps in the dark beneath his palace, deployed in war, or sport, apparently. They cheer on the beast and his shiny scars from half a hundred battles, his pure...

Help me decide what game to run next!

Actually, I was thinking, for The Dark and The Memory I might use Black Company d20 but I'd need to pick up another copy of the book because my awesome ex-girlfriend sold a lot of my stuff. Black Company d20 is probably the greatest grim & gritty setting I've ever seen, Green Ronin did it if...

Help me decide what game to run next!

Thanks for the feedback. As far as Rivets goes, I've run a ton of games in the setting, ranging from air pirating romps, stories of men impressed into the Militia, detective thrillers, horror games starting with a downed airship, to light hearted goblin-centric things. So, as for just what form...

Help me decide what game to run next!

After getting out of PbP for a while, I started up an all-orc-and-goblin D&D game here after getting a wild hair up my ass about such a setting. (There's a link in my signature.) And, surprisingly, running it with pretty regular updates takes a lot less time out of my already busy schedule than...

recruiting players for a mid-level steampunk campaign

Very possibly, though like I said my Steampunk setting is quite different so a lot of these concepts wouldn't really be par for the course. :D I was actually thinking about starting my own Steampunk game in a new thread but don't wanna piss NPC Lord off. :\

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga

The Arena Vrek jabs and feints at Blacktooth as the orc snarls and drools in thick, ropy cords. "Mine?" the goblin's voice is raspy, faint, low, "none of this is mine, I was meant as an insult, but even this shames the Warboss." He growls with exertion. "Kill it!" Initative -- Blacktooth (13)...

I'm in, just need to do a bit of shopping for Brick-Knuckle (and that'll have to wait until this evening when I get off work).

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga

The Arena Rain falls hard, now, mudding the ground, turning the flooded part of the arena into a swirling swill. As Jrag stands guarding himself, eyes on Vrek's lethal point, he notices a peculiar boiling in the water to his left. Nearly quicker than his reactions a looming mass of muscle and...

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga OOC

That's a good question, I'm guessing Jrag's various pets are at his place of residence. Sorry about the delay, I've been pretty sick, but I'm actually about to update right now so yay.

Ahaha based on this post and the one in the game thread, are you drunk?!

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga OOC

Haha, thanks, we've not really gotten into plot and roleplaying which is honestly where I shine. I am usually a rat bastard in combat though, since I think combat is boring unless it's pretty dangerous.

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga OOC

Sorry about the wait, work was super busy this week and it's finals week, etc. etc. How're things thus far? I promise some heavy roleplaying coming up, but I've found it's good to get the blood pumping with some combat. Also, I have a fun surprise coming up, though you might all hate me. :D

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga

The Arena Spratnik jogs up next to Razzit, his bow thwp-ing near Gorefang's ear, spooking a growl from the beast. Teak raises his left arm, instinctive, and takes the arrow clean through the forearm. The holy orc howls, and his cry seems to cause the rain to drip to the ground along with the...
