Instead of fighter or blackguard, what about warmage? Looking at it, it'd be perfect. You gain spells like a sorcerer but cast any spell on their spell lists, and in light armor and light shields to boot!

A +1 Vorpal Bladed Gauntlet is pretty handy, with a 17-20/x2 crit. Sure, it only does 1d6 damage, but if you add the Keen enchantment or Improved Critical feat, 13-20/x2 isn't all that bad. EDIT: :)
