I actually enjoy the movies, as mindless entertainment. I saw the first one in a theatre. Would I pay to see the other two in a theatre? No, but I'll watch them. There's far worse out there that still makes money.

Wikipedia isn't the best source for such information, when there are comics specific sources available. Marvel.com, for example, makes no claims about any of that. In fact not a lot of information exists about Bullseye's origins, as he's a notable liar about such things.

Urban micro climate is a thing. The temps are definitely higher where I am, in Brampton, Ontario, than they were when I first moved in during the early '70s. During that time Toronto's population has grown by roughly 2.5x and this town is almost 40x (not a typo) bigger.
