How do you feel about nudity in RPG books?

I'm not against nudity, if it fits the topic discussed. I mean, it's not that our children are only subject to chaste images outside the hobby. That said, it's difficult to imagine topics which would be enhanced by nudity, besides very specific ones :P

    D&D 5E (2014) DMG - breaking bounded accuracy already?

This! And all the above that mentioned that monsters should be there because of the story. More, don't forget that high-level PCs should also be able to avoid large masses of monsters (teleport and fly being the obvious methods, but also pass wall underground), unless being built only for...

    D&D 5E (2014) DMG - breaking bounded accuracy already?

Wasn't this one of the selling points of bounded accuracy? The retained "hittability" at high levels?

    D&D 5E (2014) Minimum ability scores for a PC

Greetings all! In another thread I started, I made some quick assumptions, one of which was about the ability scores of the adventuring people (either PCs and NPCs). I know that there are many styles and preferences, so I just wanted to do a fast survey: what would you deem "enough" for a PC to...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E demographics

I have not forgotten: I stated it may be due to death or retiring. For a little sample, many people here on the forums say that they rarely play over 10th level: can we say that this compensates for the increased survivability of PCs with access to raising magic? And I would not ask WHEN, but...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E demographics

I don't think that the whole population would take on adventuring, no. And not that the whole population would survive through the first steps. At least from the tales I'm reading about, for example, LMoP, where parties of 4 people, with good ability scores, are put in serious risk of being...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E demographics

Which was the whole point of my post ;-)

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E demographics

I can see your point, but they should have been given birth at some point, if they are "people" like PCs to start with.

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E demographics

For ease of calculus, and because I assume successful PCs have overall better stata than the norm, especially if they are to reach higher levels. I wanted to get myself a clearer picture, increasing the fit population tenfold still gives extremely low figures for high levels.

    D&D 5E (2014) Uncanny Dodge vs FIREBALL

Nonetheless, being in the AoE of a Fireball is not the same as being attacked by someone. At least, this is this DM judgment call ;-)

    D&D 5E (2014) I Failed My Kobayashi Maru Scenario

Oh, and BTW: mistakes happen, be grateful for a chance to learn something new...and be tenfold grateful for having deeply involved players! :-)

    D&D 5E (2014) I Failed My Kobayashi Maru Scenario

Let them earn back Snik: maybe a proxy of Kurtulmak challenges them for the soul of Snik, since he was growing fond of them as well, and its (his?) heart strayed from the true path of the kobolds (your players could be informed of this or not, depending on how you want them to see Snik in the...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E demographics

Greetings all. For some time now I had some curiosity about the actual density of high-level characters (either PCs and NPCs) in a setting; starting from an entry in the DM Options: High-Level Play from 2E, I jotted down some calculations, and came up with some interesting numbers, which I...

    D&D 5E (2014) Druids and metal armor

By these standards Beholders shouldn't be evil because Gzemnid teaches them that they are more important than anyone else. GOOD vs EVIL should be read with regard to our values, otherwise we're going all relativistic and the actual strife loses its sense. You're right, in the eye of the god of...

    D&D 5E (2014) Commune with Nature

Sure. But that holds true for the other types as well. Note: I'm not criticizing the spell, nor the rules, as I've seen many do. I just wanted to be sure I'm reading correctly the spell (like, someone could have said "no, dragons actually are detected as fey").

    D&D 5E (2014) Druids and metal armor

That doesn't seem me very GOOD. Unless it was a test, and the child would be restored afterward. And even then I'd see at most as NEUTRAL on the GOOD vs EVIL axis. EVIL should mean "me and my tenets foremost" after all. But let's go back to the OP. Druids simply "wont use metal armors nor...

    D&D 5E (2014) Commune with Nature

Ok, sorry to come back to this thread so late, but I wanted to check before. What you described as Regional Effects have an onset, which is the actual installing of the dragon in it's own lair, if I am correct. Let me picture a nature guardian (either a 9th level Druid, or even bettera 17th...

    D&D 5E (2014) Druids and metal armor

Actually, in my mind I've always depicted evil druids as nonchalantly trampling over "civilized" life to preserve nature (e.g.: Black Druids Circle back in 2E).

    D&D 5E (2014) Commune with Nature

Greetings all. Reading with some attention the spell description, I noticed that the caster can gain knowledge of (quoting): Would this mean that, for example, (s)he wouldn't gain any insight about dragons?
