    Converting prehistoric animals

Looks good. I'd not mess with it!

    Legends of Sorcery

Chuck, Thanks so much for getting back to me and clarifying everything. We're about to start a new campaign, where magic is rare and unpredictable, and the LoS fits our bill perfectly. Congrats on such a great product! Calvin

    Legends of Sorcery

Well, the emails do not seem to work at their website, but perhaps someone here who's purchased Legends of Sorcery and has experience with the system can help me out. I may have missed it, but how does the "spells per day" concept work using the LoS system? Surely spellcasters are not infinite...

D&D 4E Simple Poll - How do you feel about 4E Right Now?

You needed a third category: "Really don't give a rat's nads."

    Converting prehistoric animals

How about stats for this bear dog species: Daphoenodon Low slung, slim, shorter legs and a long, almost catlike tail. I suck at statting animals, but in my upcoming campaign, they are the prized pets of kings and noblemen.

    Skill based Spellcasting

My group and I discussed a "create as you go" spell system, but the two guys who always play spellcasters both admitted that that would be bad, because they can't make up their minds with the spells and system found in the RAW.

    Skill based Spellcasting

Damn, I think I own that. I think that speaks volumes about my already having too much gaming stuff to bother with 4e......

    Skill based Spellcasting

Has anyone tried a skills based spell casting method; i.e. make a Spellcraft check of 10 or 15 plus spell level to successfully cast a spell? If so, how did it work out?

    Looking for an issue

    That sounds awfully inconvenient!

    Looking for an issue

Yeah, that'd be an issue, alright, and one of my players seems to suffer from it....lol...but that's neither here nor there. I'll look through 289 again; maybe I overlooked it!

    Looking for an issue

Hey ya'll, I've been digging through my stacks of dragon looking for a particular issue, but my toilet has exploded and now I'm mopping every few minutes while waiting on a plummer. A couple years back, there was an issue about monks or martial arts. It contained a feat called "Ring the Golden...

D&D 4E Is 4E winning you or losing you?

I and my group have invested so much money into 3.5 and 3.0 before that we just can't get excited. I will grab up the 3 core books, but beyond that, I can't say.

    A New Take on Metamagic

I give spellcasters metamagic "slots". They get a base number, a bonus for their primary casting score, and 1 every odd level afterwards. To use a Metamagic feat, the character must first have taken the feat as normal. If the feat reads "causes the 3rd level spell to be cast as though it were...

    D&D 4E Will you buy 4e?

Probably not, unless it's really something. I've invested a LOT of money in 3.5 and so have my players. Unless there's a lot of compatibility, I don't see it happening.

Playtested our Action Point critical weapon burn rule

I was thinking of doing the very thing, as in my next campaign there will be no crit confirmation rolls. A crit threat is an actual crit. "300" had a big impact on me, evidently.

What's the Best RPG Bargain You've Ever Gotten?

An original Deities and Demigods with the Melnibonean and Lovecraftian pantheons in a part of a stack of otherwise useless crap for 10 bux. I bought it 20 years ago and it's still in mint condition. I've gotten tons of vintage gaming material for free from people leaving the hobby or as gifts...

Elmore cover art for final issue of Dragon

I was never a huge fan of Mr. Elmore's art, but it is very fitting that his work, which graced the covers of so many great issues, should be the cover of the finale' of the greatest gaming mag ever.

    Hamunaptra--Adventures in Ancient Eqypt

I own the boxed set, and it's one of my favorite game accessories!

    Hamunaptra--Adventures in Ancient Eqypt

That could be true. I just picked up Testament yesterday, and I gotta say, GR has hit it out of the park again.
