    Curbing Multi-classing

OK, now here's something else I just have to comment on. Rage 1/day is pretty good... and the feat Extra Rage gives you two more RIGHT THEN! No reason to level barbarian up to three a day, take some fighter training for fighter feats you want, and spend your third level general feat on Xtra...

    Curbing Multi-classing

Not always... now, lack of creativity perhaps, but you can cite lack of creativity for ANY multiclassing if you want. I have a Dragon Disciple concept that is a Barbarian/Sorc/Fighter. That third class (sorc) isn't there for "power" at all, it's there because it's needed. I'd have gladly left...

Ha! Well, see, it's hard to judge tone in text. For instance, that "Ha!" in the front of this sentance could be taken in a number of different emotional ways. I personally typed it to convey general amusement and a good-nature, as I'm feeling rather good at the moment and I have sympathy for the...

    Voluntarily lose your spells?

Oooh, a good reason to make it a standard action. Now, of course, once you've dominated a spellcaster to the extent that you can manipulate the spells in his head, wouldn't it be more effective to have the caster use those spells on your behalf?

    Elusive Target + Improved Trip

Oh yea, it very well might be quite over the top. Don't forget to add in having a large PC (either as a base or through the enlarge spell) and use a spiked chain, so you've got a 20 foot radius in which you can make your attack in addition to all the attacks generated by AoO's. You'd quickly...

    Elusive Target + Improved Trip

Ah, well, if that's what you read into my response that's clearly a point of miscommunication, as that's not what I was attempting to say. Just the opposite, in fact. Of course, in the main I was asking more specifically what had been said, but if there's an errata or a clarification it DOES...

Actually it was O'RLY that made me think the response was a bit confrontational. ... Perhaps he meant "I don't mean to be confrontaional, but I will be!"

raising or reincarnating someone with negative levels?

If such a thing were contemplated in a game I was playing with I'd petition that the Cha modifier be used. There is precedent in the rules to use Cha instead of Con in cases where a character/creature with no con score needs to make a check that would normally be modified by Con.

    Elusive Target + Improved Trip

Quoted for Truth. Intent... Well, I'm not really convinced about intent either way, to be honest. I mean, I'm convinced that Improved Trip wasn't written to encompass this situation, but then it didn't exist when the feat was written. The other feat, however.... well, since the feat...

    i need evil and insane.

OH man, the Redneck Tree is just sick. Of course, so are the grubs, but on a different level. I pull out the grubs only rarely, for very special occasion. Both times they've been masterful, however.

    Awakened Animals

I'm going to say that this is debatable in the case of an awakened animal. Now, you can't turn into any other of the same animal you were originally, and each time you "wildshape" into human it's the same human. And if I'm wrong via RAW I'm willing to make that a houserule. ^_^

raising or reincarnating someone with negative levels?

Good question. I wonder if there's any RAW for this. The couple of times it came up in a game I was GMing I said no, and the one time it came up in a game I was playing I assumed no... I was the player at the time, and I remember thinking I should perhaps check this with the GM. However it...

    Elusive Target + Improved Trip

Further: I agree. If a rule (We'll call it rule B) needs clarification, and it is clarified, that is good. But that doesn't give clarification to ALL rules, only to that rule. If there is a similiar rule, and someone espouses that this similiar rule was unclear (call it rule A), and they...

    Elusive Target + Improved Trip

However, the above states that if I kiss my wife, I immediately get to pinch her butt. We're assuming that I'm abandoning my pinch action to take the kiss action, but if I got the kiss action from something else, perhaps byt provoking a tickle of opportunity, well, I'd still get that pinch from...

    Voluntarily lose your spells?

Yes, yes you can. Although there doesn't seem to be any rule for it, I can't see how it's impossible to do. How much time would it take though, there lies the question... And I think we have an answer! One standard action should do it, certainly. Heck, I'd allow it to be a move action. I'd...

    Curbing Multi-classing

And lets face it, with those odds it's amazing if you EVER see a single, straight classed "archetype" character.

I was thinking along the same lines, but didn't bother to put it down.... as it's custom anyhow. But if you were to "get two sets" of armor spikes and enchant them both seperately it wouldn't be overpowered.

Or take it one step further and eliminate classes from the game. Yess... I've seen a lot of people try and pull that one off.

    Curbing Multi-classing

Oh, come one, even if you're not going TWF take at least ONE level of ranger. Not only do you net better saves (your complaint), and a handful of useful skill points, but you can now use wands on the ranger spell list. Which includes Cure X Wounds spells. Cure wands have saved the party's...

    spiked armor twf

Yes, Rather complicated, but yes. Now the way I did it was to be a warforged which gets a slam attack, and take a couple of levels of Dragon Disciple, for a claw/claw/bite...and take the armor spikes feat. That's relatively feat intensive going the WF route, as you're using two feats (one for...
