    HP: how many per level?

In the gestalt Wilderlands campaign I'm running we do max hit points. So far they've needed them.

    Need Wizard Gestalt Ideas

I'd go Rogue/Wizard based on the rest of the group's choices so far. Stick to a generalist wizard, picking up some ray spells for the dreaded sneak attack. You''ll have so many skillpoints you can pick just about everything. You'll be able to function as a sage, sneak or ranged expert. With...

    Do you modify classes?

I have modified every class to add abilities at every level (some flavor, some very useful). I have modified all races as well, including giving them powerups they can select when they qualify. As a result, I don't see much multiclassing going on whatsoever. The players are generally very happy...

    Encouraging Elven Player Characters

Elves in my campaign Elves are an ancient race (access to lost magics, secrets and anything else really) Elves are long-lived (they will have a lot of practical knowledge and skills) Elves are strongly tied to nature (in the wilderness they are basically undetectable, they always know where...

    Mearls Monster Makeover: Beholder

I like the beholder makeover. I would add variations to each individual beholder however, so the rays weren't consistently all the same.

    changing the healing spells

Magical Baubles, Trinkets & Toys in your games?

Adamantine Spiked Thimble - nuf said! Fishing Net - when thrown in combat it summons a swarm of fish where it lands, or occasionally a shark. Knife of Sandwich - spreads whatever you want on your bread the Dreaded Barrel of Monkeys I'll dig through my notes and see what else our genius...

    HP vs. AC

I'll use some crazy heavily-laden-with-nyquil logic here... You can't run out of armor class (good) You can run out of hit points and when you do you are dead (not good) The further away from death I am (i.e. the more hp I have) the better.

    Feats for a Wizard

flexible and powerful Human Wizard Choose up to two flaws (UA pg91) to receive up to two bonus feats. Take at least one flaw and select Collegiate Wizard (CA pg181) as a bonus feat. 1 – Wizard 1 – (1st lvl) Precocious Apprentice (CA pg181), (hbf) Mind Over Body (PGtF pg41) 2 – Wizard 2 3 –...

Do You Kill off your PC's.

I make them kill themselves... If they are getting attacked they roll the attack and damage rolls for the monster.

    0-level spells?

Prestidigitation = best. spell. evah! Try taking an NPC or creature that has no spell casting abilities and give them a few 0-level spells each day. See what you come up with. There are many versatile spells in there, but they are often overlooked.

Strength Domain Power: Any way to make it better?

Give the use of Power Attack for that round only. Really it is quite a strong domain power all ready.

    D&D vs WHFRP

Warhammer is much faster combat wise and way more deadly. I prefer it to D&D but most of the games around are D&D. The Warhammer world has a lot of history behind it and most of it is pretty cool; it certainly makes for good reading. Give it a try with an open mind. It is an enjoyable system.

    RHoD with Gestalt PCs [Spoilers]

I run a gestalt campaign with very few changes. Only 50% experience is awarded.

What DO you DO for... Rogues?

I give every class extra abilities, so this may seem overpowered in relation to normal base classes. I give Rogues the following extra abilities: 1st lvl - Bonus feat (a +2/+2 skill feat), Weapon Finesse 2nd lvl - Danger Sense (+4 insight bonus on Spot checks made to spot creatures at the...

How big of a deal is treasure to you?

I've never liked the reliance on magic items to make a character more powerful. The character and his abilities should be the most important thing. In a grim 'n' gritty campaign, my 7th level Ice Tracker (ranger variant) has the following "magic" items: Silver star pendant medallion: improves...
