    Themes in Eberron

I'd add at least one for each of the Five Nations, as well as the more generic 'Last War Veteran'. Cyran Refugee/Avenger is a no brainer, but how about: Aundairian Spellblade: Add an arcane flourish to your melee character. Thranish Levy: All those clerics and templars need someone to lead...

    Dragon 388 - Siberys Marks!

These have been a long time coming, but we finally have Siberys dragonmarks for 4E Eberron: Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game Official Home Page The features of the epic destiny are a bit generic, but them given the wide variety in the Houses I'm not sure what could have worked better. They...

    Runepriests in Eberron

The ghulras? That'd be an interesting direction to take a warforged runepriest, or a runepriest hybrid or multiclassed with artificer. I have to agree with the rest of the thread, though, the Draconic Prophecy (and the dragonmarks) are the perfect way to introduce rune magic to Eberron.

    Winning Races - Changeling

I have to agree. I was pretty excited about the article, being a fan of both Eberron and changelings, and I found to article to be pretty lacking in anything useful. Recycling some Races of Eberron fluff doesn't bother me too much, since a lot of people won't have access to old edition...

    April Content Calendar is up!

A couple of things stuck out to me, both from Dungeon: -Nightmares Unleashed - Quori stats, maybe? Here's hoping! -Deck of Many Things - Just the other day I was wondering what I could use to ruin my latest 4E campaign ;)

Warforged vs. Kalashtar RM:UT Round 1 (One Day Only!)

Now this was a tricky one. Very difficult decision, but the warforged got my vote. Kalashtar have fantastic fluff, but in the end I think more interesting concepts are explored with warforged than kalashtar.

    Are Devas Bald?

I don't think they're all bald, though it does seem to be common. I'm pretty sure I've seen a deva picture with hair, though I can't remember where. I'll try and dig it out and come back!

What PHB3 Classes stand out to you?

For me, all the psionic classes stand out, while the other two don't really evoke a strong reaction. Ardent: For me the ardent ticks both the fluff and crunch boxes. A good foundation idea (affecting others with an outflow of emotion), the control associated with the leader's healing is a neat...

    New Wizard Summoning Spells!

Fantastic article. Other than the succubus, the powers look mechanically sound, and are extremely evocative. This is the kind of power design that make me want to play a controller. I don't care what class my character is, if I ever get to level 29 I'm multiclassing for Summon Balor.

    Amethyst Foundation

From what I know of the setting (which is pretty limited - it's just knowledge I've gained from the 4e previews and running Hearts of Chaos), while it's entirely possible to run techan characters alongside echans (fantasy), for setting reasons that's not going to be the norm. Magic vs...

    PHB3 In Hand...

Wait, what?! Which stores? Just brick and mortar or internet too?

    Any Dinotopia-like settings?

I know you mentioned Eberron, but I'm going to expand on that setting a bit. Dinosaurs there aren't spread over the whole world, but are nevertheless well integrated. Like other animals, they are limited to certain environments, with different species appearing in different places. So they're...

    WotC March and Beyond article.

Rapid Regeneration is definitely a must for epic shifters. The shardmind racials look good was well, though in a more flavour-based way. Telepathic Sustenance in particular opens up a lot of adventure space for the whole party, which I wholeheartedly approve. Now the warforged isn't the only...

    Setting-fluff terminology? Simple or Unique?

XKCD displaying it's usual wisdom. I think a few unique racial terms can help spice up the fluff, but you have to be careful. The rule is even more important in a game than in a novel, where players will be paying varying levels of attention, and will probably have to have terms repeated ad...

Warhammer 3e Demo Experiences -OR- How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bits

Thanks for the input, guys. I'm very close to buying this game. I think I'd enjoy it, but I will have to find some players up for it. Which leads me to my next question: How well would the game work play-by-post, assuming an appropriate dice roller can be found? It looks like it'd be much...

Warhammer 3e Demo Experiences -OR- How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bits

One quick question for anyone that has the game: How integrated is the setting into the system? Could I use the game for another fantasy setting, like FR or Eberron?

Describe your campaign in 10 words or less

One I'm planning: Post-apocalyptic, heroic action fantasy: Eberron meets Dark Sun. -or- Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with magic. Both under ten words!

Warhammer 3e Demo Experiences -OR- How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bits

I don't have the game yet, but from what I gather of the previews, minis aren't even a part of the game. Relative positions are abstracted as a simple close, medium or far range. The counters etc. are just for ease of visualization, so you can remember who is near or far, and what terrain...

Warhammer 3e Demo Experiences -OR- How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bits

Warhammer 3e has me very interested. I'm not that familiar with the Warhammer world (though I did play 40,000 back in the day), so it's really just the mechanics that have caught my eye. I don't know if I'd have seriously considered buying the game a couple of years ago, and I think my...

    Winning Races: Halfling - Nice

I came to this thread to post the exact same thing. Though the feat's still not too bad even without that little mistake.
