There is a sensation of movement again, and the corridor of freaky murals vanishes in a blur. Moments later, as the movement shudders to a stop, it is back, but this time it points in the opposite direction. I can't do layers at the moment, but hopefully you get the idea.

OOC: I've been meaning to do a recap post at some point, then moving got in the way, etc. I'll put one up shortly, as I'm happy to move it along.

Blue's spear digs into the lightning spirit, and he feels some resistance. Although it sends tendril-like arcs out towards him, the creature cannot affect the wooden haft of his spear. It seems weakened by the attack. OOC: Hang up next, then Mal again.

"It is," says Kraken. "How about a crow? Nobody eats those buggers, eh?"

"Wonder what they were fighting?" says Kraken as he passes be the barrier. Then there is the lightning bolt, and his falchion is in his hand as he moves to a section of cover where he can try to see where it came from.

"There were four guards who took me prisoner, but they caught me by surprise," says Vencarlo. "Time was that wouldn't have happened but..." he shrugs. "All I know of his sister is her name, Melya. I've never had the pleasure." Attaching the last map that shows the current dungeon configuration.

The little lightning creature in the rigging seems to largely shrug off the glancing hit from Mal's arrow, and calls down some orders to its "pets". Arcing lightning, one slams into Mal, another into Hang. The other two dance around the deck, chasing Ying's sailors away from their duties...

"If you pull the same lever twice, it doesn't take you back where you started, but somewhere new again," says Vencarlo. "At least ... one of them does that, otherwise I've been trying to go forwards. Wherever that might be."

It takes what feels like a maddeningly long time to get everything ready for the combined decoy and infiltration. Sh'aah is put in charge of a squad of four dwarf volunteers for the climb, including Rexun, and the dwarves find rope and spikes for the climbers. Menexes, along with a small dwarf...

"Or someone is playing with us," says Vencarlo. "So I suppose the thing to do is to find a lever and pull it. There's one back that way that I used just now. I think they reset after a few minutes and we can use it again. Or we go onwards..."

Hang's chain lashes out at one the lightning spirits, and passes through it with a shower of sparks. The thing seems to be sputtering and losing energy after the strike, but it still continues to hover around the ship. Hang feels a tingle as his attack hits, but the creature doesn't arc down his...

"Lots of traps," says Vencarlo. "Luckily I'm good at dodging. I can tell you that the rooms change when you pull levers, but my guess is you already know that. I found that they changed when I didn't do anything either, but perhaps that was you?"

Vencarlo looks cautiously at Mhairi. "I think that Glorio likes to toy with his prisoners. I've no doubt that you, and I, would be destined to die when he wishes, but not until he's grown bored of playing with us." He then regards Edmond with the same cautious stare. "As to how I escaped, my...

Mal's arrow wings the little creature in the rigging. Its laughter stops, and in return it throws a bolt of lightning down at Mal, that lights up the ship and rips through the air with a burst of thunder and a smell of ozone. The "hound" spirits swoop down and buzz those on deck - Hang, Blue...
