Drat. No EE until Christmas? I guess that makes sense as they don't have another film lined up this year. Is there definitely going to be a boxed (EE) set? That would be something to invest in. I haven't bought any of them on DVD so far.

Tumble is a cross-class skill for fighters, rangers, and paladins, but not restricted (in 3.5). It's particularly easy for a ranger to invest 2 skill points a level in Tumble.

The latest news on Enterprise that I read (online) was that it is going to get 13 episodes next season and possibly 13 more if it does well in ratings. I agree with you, Iron Chef, about where the show messed up.

I also recommend Gardner; he's very good. There's one other book in that series which is called Ascending. (Richards, it's the one told from Oar's viewpoint... not necessarily the best in the series but maybe it slipped past you?) I'd be curious as to why the original poster didn't like G. G...

Interesting thread, as I've been debating whether to take Quick Draw or Improved Toughness at 6th level for my ranger. He fights with greatsword, longbow, and lance (on horseback). Until last session I hadn't realized that if you remain still on your horse you don't take a penalty when firing...

Well, if you take out the mythology, Paris visited Sparta and Helen fell in love with him, and ran away/was abducted by him. There'd have to be another reason for him to be visiting Sparta in the first place (than Aphrodite promising Helen to him), but it still works.

Yeeees... but apparently the gods don't make any appearances in the movie.
