On the Ninja's turn, he Ghost Steps and is now invis. He moves into position and attacks (while remaining invis). On the opponent's turn, the Ninja is still invis so they will have a hard time hitting him. Ghost Step (Invis) wears off when the Ninja's turn comes back around.
The only reason I asked this is because when in a grapple, you normally lose Dex against everyone that is NOT involved in the grapple. But being invis would make the opposing grappler lose their dex bonus towards you. Just wanted to make sure that was correct.
Let's say you were playing a Ninja and got grappled. Could you Ghost Step (Invis), draw a light weapon, and stab the guy grappling you (thus getting Sudden Strike damage)? Also, if they continue to grapple you, do they get any penalities?
Did not know that. Thanks for the update... At any rate, all that does is delay the build some. Replace Quicken or Maximize w/ the Permanent Metamagic, and you're fine (plus shift the feats around a bit).
This is a powerful build...
"The Cheater of Mystra"
Human Cleric of Mystra 5/ Dweomerkeeper 10/Divine Disciple 5
Dweomerkeeper is from the Complete Divine Web enhancement.
Divine Disciple is from Players Guide to Faerun
1 Cleric1 (Magic/Rune) Magical Training, Divine Metamagic (Persistant)...
So here is my follow up question...
This situation happened in tonights campaign actually...
Mage casts Cats Grace on Fighter, then casts AntiMagic Field on himself. The Fighter is in the aura, so Cats Grace gets supressed. Party opens a door and sees monsters, init is rolled.
Monsters get...
But (N)PC Cohorts do not get the same amount of exp as a player would, right? I think it is like 1/2 the exp everyone else gets, then you divide the remaining half of the exp with the actual players. Or something like that. At least, 3.0 worked like that IIRC.
