    D&D 5E (2014) Strength bows?

If thats somehow an issue, it looks like DMs are letting folks reload without having a free hand.

    Greg Tito Is UHURA!

Hasbro is a corporation, it has much bigger black marks. I'd provide more examples, but looking those up gets depressing. Who has ever heard of a corporate employee lying to the public? Like when the Wotc employee said there would not be a 4.5 Edition. They kept their word, after all, it was...

    Greg Tito Is UHURA!

Wotc taps two plains for mana! This article puts it pretty well. http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1253173 I can actually see why someone might want him in such a position. I'd never put him there, but he sounds "safe" for a megacorp that wants to be seem inclusive.

    D&D 5E (2014) How I'm Managing Inspiration

My players tend to "forget" that they can pass inspiration, instead hording them thinking they are some sort of after the fact Fate Point that will save their life. Had many inspirations awarded fall off into the void because those who had them failed to pass around what they had or just didn't...

D&D 5E (2014) What is my best bet for some cheap, decent miniatures?

Very good suggestion. It also lets one use normal dragon minis so dragons are as big as they DESERVE to be (Something 2E got right). SkidAce you know of any easy to find images that show how big Shooting Star is in RoLW?

D&D 5E (2014) Why do we award Encounter XP instead of Adjusted XP?

It really isn't as challenging unless the players elect not to use their area effect potential, fail to make efforts to channel their foes or at the least press up against a wall. Even in a White Room the players can fight back to back severely reducing their frontage. Also if you use...

    D&D 5E (2014) Tactics in combat

Funny you should mention that!. Something I'm doing in my spare time is making hand outs of various bits of monster lore for players like a sheet torn from a lorebook. I pick the best stuff from various sources, rewrite some, then toss in some sketches from the web. Redacted the images since...

D&D 5E (2014) Warcaster, polearm master and learning to love the optimizing?

Which why I've been ruling feat benefits don't combine with other feats. Otherwise it's often a major incentive to find feat combos.

D&D 5E (2014) So here is a question with Cleave thru using a Vorpal Weapon?

The vorpal effect is more than powerful enough on its own and doesn't need any boosting from the "Cleaving through foes" variant rule which is exclusively for weaker foes who can't weather a character's normal damage.

D&D 5E (2014) So here is a question with Cleave thru using a Vorpal Weapon?

I'd say roll damage for the crit as normal, and if there is any in excess of the target being beheaded's full HP, the remaining damage cleaves through as normal. That 6D8 is just for creatures that vorpal doesn't get to autokill.

    D&D 5E (2014) 4th edition minions in 5th?

Sure if that floats your boat, but FYI Area effect damage is often save for half. Just read up on challenge ratings in the dmg. Start em at 4 HP, then adjust from there. Just note the system values AC, damage output and attack bonus more than HP; designing a monster with next to NO HP might make...

D&D 5E (2014) Moral Quandry Over Possible DM Failures?

Well, generally when you are playing, the other side of the screen is not your prerogative and thinking too much about it can take the fun away. Monsters are not set in stone, the DMG rules make adjusting ACs and HPs easy. It's super helpful when all your orc minis have breastplates. While it's...
