    D&D 3.x Excel Character Sheet for 3.5?

Never mind...upon close examination, it still needs a little tweaking. Will post here when done :p

Dodge, can you shift targets on anyone else's turn?

This is another of the differences between the SRD and the PHB. The PHB description states "During your action...", so that clarifies it.

    Limiting Polymorph Self

I went one step further - they couldn't buy pieces of monsters. Thus, the wizard could only polymorph into something the party had already fought. Mind you, I hate the "money + item craft feat = magic items" thing too. I make them harvest stuff themselves to make magical items. Save the cash...

    The Battle for Middle-earth

By "it's Warcraft, only prettier", I meant that it's more of the "gather resources so you can build buildings (complete w/ farms) that make more/better troops to kill the onrushing orcs" thing. They're still orcs, for crying out loud. Sure, later on you can play or fight against the...

Magic Shield Construction: animated buzz saw

Ooo. Nifty. :) I'm going to look at this tomorrow. Or maybe later if I can't sleep on account of the voices. :uhoh:

    The Battle for Middle-earth

I played it for a few hours tonight...it just seems like Warcraft (again) with prettier graphics. Not different enough to warrant valuable HD space, IMHO. 3/5

Has anyone statted armor with different bonuses for different attacks?

The old 1st Ed. PHB had optional rules for this, IIRC. I could post the table here, but I'd have to look in a few dusty old boxes first :p

    I Hate Spam

Do a Google for SpamBayes...it's a learning spam filter that works as a plug-in for Outhouse (and Outhouse Express). If you have large piles of pre-sorted "good" and "bad" emails for it to look at, it starts working well immediately.

    Divine Scrolls

No, mishaps are a result of inexperience (caster level too low) and a bad Wisdom check to prevent the mishap. They have to make the same check even if the scroll was penned by their brother cleric. Angry gods tend to manifest themselves a little more...explosively :p

    Fireball vs. Wind Wall

This is making me wonder that since you have to make a ranged touch attack to "hit" an arrow slit, would it be unreasonable to make a ranged touch attack to hit someone with the bead, and thus deny them a Reflex save altogether (as per most other touch attack spells)? I think it makes fireball...

    Fireball vs. Wind Wall

...which (IMO) would deny him his Evasion ability too, since it explodes in/on his hand. :]

    Tracking Alignment

Granted, there aren't any "rules" penalizing alignment change, but this is the House Rules forum :P The way I handle it is the same as in 1e/2e - making the next level costs 2x the XP.

    Tracking Alignment

Here's a chart I whipped up in CC2 for my game. The "X Neutral" and "Neutral X" alignments have a little more room to move in them, but I think that's about right. YMMV. Enjoy :) Edited to change the file to a .pdf - the color jpeg was too big :/

    Divine Scrolls

There isn't a market for divine scrolls in any event - except for within a particular church. Even then, there is a wild variation between churches. Waukeen's clerics might sell scrolls to their brethren at 200% of book price, while clerics of Ilmater would likely just give them away (to other...

    Divine Scrolls

IMC, I don't allow clerics of deity X to cast spells from scrolls written by clerics of deity y (unless x and y are allied, or share a similar ethos). I understand that this change makes divine scrolls largely useless except within a particular church, but it makes no sense for a LG cleric to...

    Spells Database

http://d20spellbook.home.comcast.net/ This is a pretty keen little beta proggy. I've used it a fair bit - it even outputs nice .pdf spell lists customised to the character for durations, save DCs, etc. thumbs up :)

    Electrical outage. Apocalypse follows.

Oh yes...UPS's are a definite must. Smooths the power out very nicely, plus when my brother morons throw a switch in, you don't lose thesises (thesii?) and the like.

    Electrical outage. Apocalypse follows.

Easy, now...this sort of thing usually occurs with a poor ground connection, either at the service entrance or at the pole/pedestal the service connects to. Your local electric utility should check this out, otherwise an electrician can. /starts crying at Vascant's hurtful remark again. :P

    Electrical outage. Apocalypse follows.

I work for the local electric utility. In the past, people who complained enough have been reimbursed for stuff just like this. It may be worth looking into some more...

    Tutorial for CC2

In my experience, the tutorials that came with CC2 were quite adequate to get me on my way and mapping happily. There's a certain amount of trial-and-error with any new program, and CC2 is no exception. If you've already done the tutorials, the best thing to do next is start messing around and...
