ZEITGEIST Post-Zeitgeist Setting and Adventures Discussion (Spoilers!)

Mmm; I very much agree. Ranger, you invented an entire setting for your campaign- that is amazing, and it is part of why Zeit is as good as it is. But, I fear you may be stretching it too far with this. On "a world that you're changing, so you can have a sense of the specific consequences of...

ZEITGEIST Post-Zeitgeist Setting and Adventures Discussion (Spoilers!)

Can I ask if there's any specific place in pre-industrial Lanjyr you're interested in, Roko? Or is it the overall concept of pre-industrial Lanjyr?

I run my campaign in text, I'll post log excerpts when I get home.

ZEITGEIST Looking for a writer for a ZEITGEIST setting book

'Consultation' is as much as I had hoped for, honestly. I'd just like to contribute. Though I am free for the next few months... I have made a thread to discuss this topic, so we stop clogging this thread. https://www.enworld.org/threads/post-zeitgeist-adventuring-and-setting-discussion.667607/

ZEITGEIST Post-Zeitgeist Setting and Adventures Discussion (Spoilers!)

Per this thread, it would seem that the boffins behind the Zeitgeist AP are keen to author new material. I'd like to invite any and all interested parties to discuss the topic, so that perhaps Adslahnit and my's discussion doesn't clog Morrus' job posting.

ZEITGEIST Looking for a writer for a ZEITGEIST setting book

One more note, if you don't mind. The events of the Star Wars original trilogy result in relatively minor changes to the setting. The pre-eminent power suffers a major defeat resulting in years of retreat, whilst a new rebel group (presumably) attempts to resurrect an older republican political...

ZEITGEIST Looking for a writer for a ZEITGEIST setting book

My initial reaction is that the concept is almost unworkable. Even assuming a straight 'canon' line of choices to build around- keep Shantus as Bruse, have a fairly straight-forward set of planes- the events of the AP are so... 'chaotic'? There are a fair few contradictions that pop up in the...

ZEITGEIST Looking for a writer for a ZEITGEIST setting book

I think you would effectively need a big red divider between 'Player Material' and 'for GM's eyes only', which would present a formatting challenge. You might even need to include 'turn to page 3XX for GM detail' notes throughout the player section.

ZEITGEIST Looking for a writer for a ZEITGEIST setting book

Ditto. I am currently GMing the Zeitgeist AP, we are on Book 12. I consider myself terribly well versed in the setting and lore- in the adventures, in the player's guide, and the contradictions between the two. I'd be very happy to be a resource for any professional writer who takes this project...

    ZEITGEIST Important NPC's

It'd be my preference to replace their role with existing major NPCs. Gale for Asrabey maybe, heck maybe even Gale for Rock in Book 12. Doing so does however require a pretty darn in-depth knowledge of all the AP books where they return.

ZEITGEIST Asrabey vs Ekossigan, advice please.

It's a great shame to waste content; I think you should give the party a second chance at the Gallo encounter. How about a variant on Option A. Asrabey beats Ekossigan; but as Ekossigan dies, he embeds his madness and his prophecies in Asrabey. Also, telling him Kasvarina is inside the Bleak...

    ZEITGEIST Inexplicable Narration, indeed. (Spoilers)

Pft. Good for your. A PC in my game has that ability, but the player hasn't used it terribly much, mostly using it to smooth over infiltrations by ensuring a safe spot to enter.

ZEITGEIST One shots and side quests.

In terms of cultural biases and bigotry and diversity, I think you did fine with Elfaivar and the Akela Sathi; you present facts and situations, solutions people have created to resolved problems, and a person (Kasvarina) with an attitude regarding them- and left it to the GM and the table to...
