I read that Ridley Scott set the first Gladiator in the "cinematic history" of Rome- that is, the Rome of movies, not of history. This one seems to be doing the same.

If you don't see this as putting words in someone else's mouth: ...then you should know that I and probably others do see it as putting words in the mouth of people who disagree with you. If that's not your intention, then it might be worth clarifying or rewording.

It's pretty disingenuous to put histrionic words in the mouths of people you disagree with.

This reminds me of that old adage: Only by ignoring history can we avoid repeating it. Wait... What is this "gap" you're talking about? Is it people who understand that Gygax wrote sexism in the game versus... people who don't? I don't think Riggs and others who use evidence-based approaches...
