    Help me out?

I am going to be starting a new campaign tomorrow, and I have decided that I want to run a custom game world that is not the typical high-fantasy game. I want it to be fantasy enough that the player's recognize it as d&d, but different enough that they don't feel like they've been there and...

What is your favorite non-traditional setting?

I know a lot of people like eberron, and I might like it too if I ever got the chance to read into it a bit. I personally like the dragonmech setting. What are some other non-traditional, or high-fantasy, settings that you guys enjoy or would recommend?

Pay for this, pay for that? ...

I've been payed to DM before, on a regular occasion. It wasn't that big of deal, it was at the local gameshop and the owner required everyone to pitch in $1 to pay the DM. Wasn't anything I suggested, just the owner's way of saying thanks I guess. I've payed for online games because I...

    A Friend Passed On

My thoughts are with you in this time of tragedy. It is so unreal to have a close friend pass away at such an early age. One year ago july 1st it happened to me, and it is extremely hard to deal with. I would like to think I speak for all of us at EN World when I say if you need to talk, go...

Have any of you purchased banner space?

I purchased 50,000 banner impressions and was just wondering when or if I would get any response letting me know the banners are showing. I read something about real-time stats with enworld advertising. Just looking for a little help, thanks.

    Punishing your players

I had a character like that in my group. The group went into a goblin cave and started fighting, when they heard goblins in the back of the cave shouting to protect the women and children they quit fighting and negotiated with the goblins. They found out they had been there for years and no...

Importance of Religion in the Campain

Have you read the Cleric Quintet by Salvatore, and if so did you like it? The gods clearly exist, as their divine power is literal. The main character of this series still at sometimes has doubts. If you saw divine power literally it would be different, because bob the mage down the street...

    Construct (or warforged) livestock

I believe the half-construct template you are thinking of is from a dungeon adventure with the half-construct baddies. The hasted half-construct minotaur was especially nasty.

What are the pros and cons of the two games? How similar are they in rules? Which one is more indepth, etc. I plan to get into one of the two, but would like it if you tell me what you think of the two games first?

    Some of my 3d art.

Well that was old, and yeah it was very basic, but turned out decent. The gumby is much more recent, done a few months ago.

Anybody here play on MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons)

I used to play Carrion Fields and Avendar. Yes they are good fun, in fact I was more addicted to CF than I ever was to any of the pay to play modern online games. I spend half my high school years on CF. I still would like to get around to opening a MUD, as game development is my intended...

    Wich one is better?

Both are good, although I tend not to read either as much as I used to. It really depends on what you are looking for in a magazine.

How's that for getting a lot done in one sitting? players make a few d20 rolls. DM: So you guys have travelled the endless sea slaying the legendary sea monster, ventured beneath the ancient's forge once again binding the elemental god of fire, destroyed the seven kingdoms of the fallen...
