The skin tone descriptions in 3e and now 5e never made any sense. Where do they get the concept that most dwarves have a brown skin tone? Just from a fantasy historical perspective it's wrong. I don't think there have ever been any dwarves with brown skin tone in D&D novels or any other fantasy...

Dragonborn and Tieflings really shouldn't have been included in the Player's Handbook. They should have been placed with other campaign specific races in the DMG.

I don't think it's that significant if you are playing basic and don't have access to feats, especially if you are a high elf with a +2 Dexterity and +1 Intelligence. Dexterity is very useful if you are using touch ranged spells.

A caster that uses Mage Armor and has a 20 Dexterity has a +2 higher AC than a Mountain Dwarf wizard wearing scale and +1 higher than if he is wearing half-plate. You also have an additional +3 to range attacks.

I have no idea what you are imagining, but there is no white there. There is a shiny reflection to show three dimensional space, it's the same coloring the nose and forehead has.

His eyes aren't narrow, nor is the conversation about his very dark irises. He has no irises because he has no whites in his eyes to tell if his irises are dark. All of his eyes are the same color as his skin.

I am trying to hold back my excitement since it's over a month away until I get the Player's Handbook. The basic D&D is just going to make me want the PHB more.

I would like to see some kind of ancient bloodline sorcerer. So a sorcerer that is part of an ancient bloodline descendant of some ancient king, hero, mage, or immortal, or something similar.

The biggest issue of the cosmological aspects of D&D is that the cosmology makes little sense at all. First, why in the world would anyone worship a god that promises a horrible afterlife? Secondly, what is determining what is good and evil, chaos and law? There has to be some objective...
