    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore 4/21

I wonder when we will start getting real previews of 5e.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is D&D Next Open?

The number one thing that would probably keep Wizards from releasing 5e under the OGL is the fear that Paizo will turn around, rip it off and name it Pathfinder 2nd edition.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D "Core" Settings

I am critiquing it, that doesn't mean I didn't like it. However, it's been almost twenty years and it was very much a 2nd edition campaign setting on how it was written and the content it had. It's why something like the unbalanced bloodline system was able to exist. It's also more Lord of the...

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D "Core" Settings

I don't think environment books would be very interesting. There's only so much you can put in a book based around one. I think books based around types of campaigns would be far better. The seafaring book would be like this as would ones based on horror, gritty low magic/political, very high...

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D "Core" Settings

I think there were major flaws in Birthright. A symptom I think in part that it was a basic fantasy setting with a low magic medieval European coat of paint on top of it and it doesn't quite synch together. The world building covered way too much of the overall world and as a result there was...

D&D 5E (2014) Tyranny of Dragons Panel at PAX East Today

Am I the only one a bit disappointed we didn't get any hard info about D&D 5e at PAX?

D&D 5E (2014) Magic Item Creation: Which book should contain rules for magic item creation?

I don't think there's any assumption there. 5e is designed around characters not having magical items.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D "Core" Settings

I would like to see a gritty low magic medieval European setting.

Binwin sure had a lot of attacks.

Lacquer has existed since the 10th century and as someone pointed out earlier, similar instruments have existed since the 9th century.

    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore Article 4/1/14 (Fighter Maneuvers)

I think if any trained combatant has learned how to trip someone in combat, they would attempt it a lot more often than someone that hasn't.

    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore Article 4/1/14 (Fighter Maneuvers)

Would you have the same attitude if the person next to you was playing a Vulcan with a phaser next to your Faerunian wizard? After all, he is having fun.

Pathfinder 1E Current Pathfinder Players: Are you considering switching over to D&D 5E?

WotC has been the steward of the "hobby" since 3e. If it wasn't for WotC's decision to release under the OGL, Pathfinder wouldn't even exist. All Paizo did was rip off 3e, mix things up a bit, and release it under their own brand name.

D&D 5E (2014) Saving Throws not mandated by class

I don't like this. Why would someone who multiclasses lose their learned defensive skills?

D&D 5E (2014) Saving Throws not mandated by class

If Strength, Charisma, and Intelligence aren't going to balanced with the other three, I think paired choices might be a better solution than choosing any two you want. The pairs you made are a good example of stats that are related to each other in some fashion despite being independent of each...

    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore Article 4/1/14 (Fighter Maneuvers)

So is the Battle Master the only subclass that gets superiority dice? I really dislike the 4e warlord concept, but I knew they were going to add a subclass to support it.
