What do you think of Modrons?

That's the difference, though. They're not killing someone just because they got in the way. They're not even killing; they're just walking. If they encounter someone or something that would impede their walking, they just keep walking into or over it until it is no longer an impedement...

    Why do elves suck?

Simply put: the attitude. There are some other issues too, but that's the big one. If they had a PR manager they'd be fine, but somewhere along the way someone latched onto the idea that having elves come across as snooty, smug pricks was a good idea and sadly it's just kept on going from...

What do you think of Modrons?

I like them, but I think they need more development beyond the shallow clockwork shapes thing they've got now. They really need to nail down the whole unstoppable march of progress/everything as it should be/flawlessly in-tune with proper order thing. That'll make modrons better than they are...

Is a Wizard a better buffer then a cleric?

A wizard can be a better buffer than a cleric, particularly when it comes to buffing others. However, clerics have some real cherries when it comes to buffing themselves. Divine Favor, Divine Power, Righteous Might.

    Assigning Outsiders

Nobility ~> Archons. Logic ~> Inevitables, Modrons. Passion ~> Eladrins. Selfishness ~> Yugoloths, Devils. ... Instinct ~> Demons. You'd need to tweak the appearance and flavor only slightly, and make 'em more chaotic than evil. Other than that they hit the major points: Fight. Breed...

    Unbalanced Characters/ToB?

ToB characters can be lethal depending on how they're used, granted, but from the description.. sounds like you've got a fudger there. Big'un, too.

How Many Spells Can You Cast In A Round?

Cast Time Stop. Make liberal use of the Delay Spell metamagic feat. Bam. Many, many spells in ... apparently one round.

    Can you Counterspell a Counterspell?

Technically... officially... No, you can't counterspell just by virtue of having a quickened spell. Mostly because counterspelling is a particular type of action, above and beyond just tossing out another spell. What you most likely could do with that quickened spell, though, is try to...

    what is large and green.....

If it's a troll, it's one mighty handsome troll. I'm probably going to have to go with ogre on this one, mostly from the head shape. Heck, could be a merrow. That'd explain the wacky coloration.

    Level Loss

Core - no. Savage Species - yes. p27, Monster Classes and Multiclassing. "A monster character using these rules may not multiclass until it completes the full progression in its monster class. This rule keeps characters from ganing the benefits of a monster's type and then quickly switching...

    Can you Counterspell a Counterspell?

Sound pretty much nailed it. It's a feat. Requires both Improved Initiative and Improved Counterspell. It essentially removes the "must have a currently readied action to counterspell" requirement for counterspelling, but with the cost of your next available standard action, either this round...

    Level Loss

    1. He can just level as normal. He doesn't have to take levels in barbarian, even though that's what he's lost. Heck, it's even a good justification for taking something else.. like.. say.. cleric. 2. The minotaur would be ECL 3.. but don't forget that, unlike the barbarian from (1), the...

    Can you Counterspell a Counterspell?

*nod* Or casts Nerveskitter on Apprentice as soon as initiative is thrown down. Or both. It's a real Wild West quickdraw sort of situation, ultimately. Which is kinda cool.

    what is large and green.....

*nod* Storm Giant. They come in two designer colors - the normal model comes in a light green color, and the limited edition Storm Giant comes in a lovely shade of purple. Ho ho ho. Stoooooooorm Giant!

    Can you Counterspell a Counterspell?

2 people - we'll call them Caster and Target. [Normal order of events] Round 1: *Target wins initiative* -(Target): readies an action to counterspell against Caster. -(Caster): begins to cast a spell, triggers Target's readied action. -(Target): goes thru the normal counterspell process...

Question on a Dragon Shaman aura

Honestly, I like the geomancer flavor that hong mentioned. Makes sense given the aura mechanic - you're not targeting speciffic individuals, you're just manifesting ambient fields of supernatural whoopass energy. Plus it makes a lot more sense than the currently existing PrC of the same...

How to design a Greek hoplite?

Subtle but important difference. A kusari-gama is a sickle with a length of weighted chain attached to its handle. A gusari-kama is a length of weighted chain with the hindu god of love attached to one end. :p

    Can you Counterspell a Counterspell?

To make up for the lack of the original caster being readied to counterspell. Honestly, I probably wouldn't let the original caster counterspell someone counterspelling his own spell, unless he had the Reactive Counterspell feat. Quickened or not.

What are the rules for re-stringing a bow or xbow after snapped string?

Full-round action that provokes an AoO. Removing the old string, frankly, isn't going to be an issue. They tend to remove themselves quite well once they're cut - released tension will catapult the old string halves clear into that other dimension where all lost socks wind up.

    Need help selecting one spell.

Hmm.. has to be a necromancy spell, eh. Let's see here. Well, first things first - do you already have Bestow Curse? I know it's only a 4th level, but it's truly the gift that keeps on giving. Oh, and Enervation. Gotta have that one too. PHB: Waves of Fatigue isn't bad. No save, and helps...
