    D&D 5E (2014) What is Quality?

an inherently subjective idea of something being good. Which is fine, but some people don't know what subjective actually means. You can somewhat quantify quality, but people generally don't accept it and instead become snarky jerks upon you saying it.

D&D 5E (2014) What would 5E be like if the playtest's modularity promise was kept?

God, if only. Then we could have people stop getting upset when someone else uses a demonstrateable measure of success. :V

    D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything!

More the people who came up with the machete order, who, and I will put money down on this, made it because prequels bad, ot good.

the problem begins when you start thinking your interpretation is the Correct™ one.

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

Honestly? Fair. you hit me in my "humans are natural idiots" spot.

I know that, and honestly, just letting nazis have it means that you're letting the nazis win.

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

By doing that, aren't you taking away from them more so than the nazis? The swastika, as a symbol, has been around for literally thousands of years and is a major bit of iconography, particularly for eastern religions like Buddhism. By automatically assuming that someone with a swastika is a...

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

But do taking steps to prevent something from happening again mean that germans are naturally predisposed to be genocidal maniacs? Especially since going by events going on around the same time that problem seems to be more of a "human being" thing rather than a "german" thing?

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

So asian people using swastikas are racist until proven otherwise? Being german means that you are naturally predisposed to be a horrible person? living in a country means that people should take a second look at what your are doing just in case it could be racist? I'm... honestly speechless...

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

I still say Pathfinder Daemons are the best interpretation of Neutral Evil Outsiders. Beings embodying different forms of death and want to every thing to die, including eventually, themselves.

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

Well that's literally the exact opposite of what I was thinking. Mammon wants money because he just wants money. The Yugoloths want money (or I guess in their case, souls) because it gives them more power, and that's what they're greedy for.
  14. FlyingChihuahua

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

Well, Money is only one aspect of Greed. (and also, I would say that Mammon is more Gluttony than Greed, but that might be a subjective thing.)

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

So only the original interpretation of a subject matters? You can't ever reclaim something ever?

D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

Well, don't neo-nazi's support norse neo-paganism? That sounds like a good enough reason for getting rid of the norse pantheon in D&D if we should get rid of cosmic horror because the popularizer was a racist.

    D&D 5E (2014) Classes that Suck

Yeah, this whole argument could've been stopped by a much louder disclaimer/sidebar saying that you can mix and match skills and ability scores fairly freely if you feel it makes sense.

Level Up (A5E) [+] What features should a "Advanced 5E" have?

I feel like this is one of those conversations that is going to go nowhere and it is going to get there at the speed of light, due to one or more of the people involved, so lets move on, yes? Well Advanced is in the title, so I think making it more Advanced (read:complicated) might be in order...
