D&D 5E (2024) (+) New Edition Changes for Inclusivity (discuss possibilities)

Well he introduced it to the world at large, I'd personally argue that's as important, if not more so, than inventing it. Have you ever had the fear that the people you care about couldn't give a damn about what you think? Apply that to a cosmic scale.

Forgive me for potentially moving the goal posts, but that doesn't really solve the issue I'm thinking of, which is amount of current media (and media that I especially enjoy, so this hits close for me) is inexorably tied to a huge bigot. Sure, you can contextualize him and his stories all you...

On the flip side though, you also have Lovecraft's undoubtable influence on the game. The Great Old One warlock mentions Cthulhu by name, Dagon is a fairly important Demon Lord and the creatures that the old Lords of Madness book talks about that were surely inspired by, if not based on many...

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana: Spirits Bard and Undeath Warlock

You mean I could potentially make an Ace Attorney style Spirit Medium in 5e? If that's the case then sign me up. Y'know, that's not a bad idea. Find a theme for mixing up the spell schools, and turn those themes into subclasses for the Wizard. Could even come with mixed school spells, if...

Prolly the same reason why the Inca didn't have wheels. Didn't really need them.

D&D 5E (2014) What Unearthed Arcana Subclasses Would You Allow in a Campaign?

You have to realize that by doing that you're potentially not allowing them into said hardbacks, right?

I've played a (video) game where Thor was the ambassador of the US to Japan and ended up nuking Japan for reasons I don't really remember. I think because YHVH told him to do it to stop people from summoning demons? Shin Megami Tensei gets can get weird, but they are also great.

D&D 5E (2014) Subclass System in 5e- Too Much, Too Little, or Just Right (GOLDILOCKS POLL!)

I played a classless system before. Did not like it at all. Other people might, and more power to them, but I don't like classless systems.

Well War Mage, but I see what you're saying.

D&D 5E (2014) What Unearthed Arcana Subclasses Would You Allow in a Campaign?

Well if that's the case: Not really a Subclass but Tunnel Fighter can go die in a fire for me.

D&D 5E (2014) Subclass System in 5e- Too Much, Too Little, or Just Right (GOLDILOCKS POLL!)

I don't understand this really tbh. If you just make Barbarian a subclass of Fighter, then it's just gonna be "Rage" with nothing interesting added onto it. You aren't gonna rage and get a damage aura like you would for Storm Herald, you're just gonna get a basic Rage when there is so much you...

It does the same to me, but that might be because pretty much all the cool art I find that inspires me is of women. No clue idea why, and it honestly frustrates me sometimes.

No. They get the other stuff, like Proficiency in Intimidate and Brutal Critical for Half-Orcs, and Proficiency in Athletics and Stone's Endurance for Goliaths. Granted, that's not the most differences, but that's what both the other racial bonus are for (for H-orcs, I'd say Charisma for the...

Yeah, which is why the +1 and the other racial bonuses exist. I just didn't elaborate on those because A: too much work and B: I think a lot of the focus has been on the bonuses to the main stats.

No no no. Explain what you meant and don't go "I was just joking so I don't have to defend myself."
