Unearthed Arcana Why UA Psionics are never going to work in 5e.

Why shouldn't they try to do something new for 5e's psionics, concerning how the general reaction to every edition besides 4e's psionics system was?

D&D 5E (2014) It is OK for a class to be the worst

That's because Classes are a bit more on the "gameplay" side of things than anything else. Rangers are fairly obvious, they're supposed to be the ones who are the best at one of the three pillars of the game, while Barbarian is the easiest and most understandable name for what the class...

Unearthed Arcana Why UA Psionics are never going to work in 5e.

Well then it'll be like the fourth version of Psionics to be rejected by the community. And there comes a point where you're basically just trying to break down a brick wall with your bare hands.

Unearthed Arcana Why UA Psionics are never going to work in 5e.

Honestly, I believe 5e Psionics are on real thin ice at the moment, considering how many times they've tried to do it and how basically all those attempts have failed for some reason or another. I honestly think it's getting to a point where it's only gonna be a token effort so they can get a...

    D&D 5E (2014) Hex Shenanigans

Yeah. And if the DM isn't giving you what you want, that doesn't mean the DM is being a jerk.

D&D 5E (2014) It is OK for a class to be the worst

That is one of the strengths of 5e. The fact that making a good character is as simple as "Put the big number in the main stat." Sure, if you do just that you won't be the best character, but you will be effective enough to contribute meaningfully.

Unearthed Arcana Revived, Noble Genie and Archivist Revisited in UA

Well if they are monsters that people like to use, doesn't that make the features common, regardless of how much that actually appears in statblocks?

D&D 5E (2014) The case for (and against) a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book

You know the word that people use to describe artists making money off of their work? It's sell-out. If you or someone else could make money off of your art, you're a sell-out and your work is immediately bad, regardless of actual quality.

Unearthed Arcana Revived, Noble Genie and Archivist Revisited in UA

I think because people prefer it being a Metamagic, with I personally agree with. However, it being a subclass feature of just one wizard doesn't stop it from being something someone else can get, ad they do seem dead set on giving this ability to Wizards. IMO this is the best implementation of...

D&D 5E (2014) It is OK for a class to be the worst

As a house rule, yes. Sorry if that distinction wasn't clear. Although I did just think of another idea, Maybe on a long rest you lose Exhaustion levels based on the amount of Rage uses you have left on a long rest? I dunno, I'm just throwing out ideas here.

D&D 5E (2014) It is OK for a class to be the worst

For this discussion, I would like to point out that going into a Frenzy rage is optional and does not affect the other features of the subclass (heck, for Retaliation, you don't even need to be raging). Also, I'd just add that for a Frenzy barb, when you take a Long Rest, you can remove 2...

Unearthed Arcana Revived, Noble Genie and Archivist Revisited in UA

I think the's talking about stuff like Undead Fortitude, which Radiant damage just ignores, which might be helpful against a horde of zombies. They aren't vulnerable in the damage sense, but they are vulnerable in the "they die easy to it" sense.

With your predictions being all about Manual of the Planes based, I'm honestly gonna laugh if that isn't the case.

D&D 5E (2014) 4-Element monks are the only monk archetype that excels against flying enemies

That's more a fire whip then a fire punch, although I do see your point.

D&D 5E (2014) 4-Element monks are the only monk archetype that excels against flying enemies

I think that's literally everybody's fix for the Four Elements Monk. I personally like the stuff the Way of the Four Elements Revised adds as well, because if you can't fire punch people, are you even an elemental monk?
