never liked psionics in Dark Sun, so you have a light and a dark side of ‘the force’ in the preserver and defiler, and then you decide that it is for fools, because psionics are just magic without the downsides of either…

I think I read somewhere that around 50% of those following a project end up backing it yep, it’s more a ‘keep me in the loop’ There is little correlation between what I back and what I follow

what about third parties observing the caster? I want it as clear to them as to the target. It also doesn’t address the restraint part…

I can ignore the material spell components, but just ‘thinking’ with no gestures is a ‘no’ from me. It should be obvious who is ‘casting the spell’ and being restrained should have the same preventative effect as for spellcasters

the lesson is give 1s and 5s only, everything else leaves too much up for interpretation… the ‘nuance’ has to come from the fact that you are not the only one filling out the survey

I don’t know, to me that sounds like you overestimate Gygax or underestimate yourself, imo he did pretty poorly, below average (at running a business)

you can get psionics without having to also get Dark Sun. Is there anything in the UA that explicitly ties it to DS / an upcoming DS product?
