    D&D 5E (2014) Will I like D&D Next?

It doesn't matter what I/we like (or don't like) as far as individual features/elements at this point. The "public playtest" was, more or less, a survey. We've had a number of different iterations of many elements. Which ones make it to the final production run, or in which form, we don't know...

    D&D 5E (2014) Will I like D&D Next?

Because it's not a "real" (re: complete) system yet. Which playtest packet rules do you use? Which version(s) of the Fighter? How about skills? Nobody knows what the final system is going to look like yet. Playing with the packets is all fine & dandy, it's what they're there for, but if you...

    D&D 5E (2014) Will I like D&D Next?

Seriously? It's a hodge-podge with bad math leading to an internal Alpha test. I like some of the ideas we've seen, disliked others and have precious little idea what the final product will look like outside of maybe a few basics. It has the potential to be a good, throwback-style stystem with...

D&D 5E (2014) What do you think now that we've received the final playtest packet?

That it's currently a mess but the design crew has some data they want to kick off from. The Alpha test package should be in play internally now.

    D&D 5E (2014) Will I like D&D Next?

You mean because the last couple of editions were actually cohesive? D&D Next is a mess right now. Obviously there's a long way to go until the finished product because the game just doesn't work very well yet. They're supposedly just going in to Alpha testing now. 13th Age would be a good...

George R.R. Martin teases purple wedding for season 4

Needing to "know" we have a desired outcome before we actually get involved is, IMO, pathetic, but it explains a lot in our culture.

    Best streaming movie/TV shows service

Technically, if you just want to rent or download you don't need the Prime Membership. That said, it appears Scott Pilgrim and Tremors have rotated out of their free offerings.

    Best streaming movie/TV shows service

I've watched Tremors and Scott Pilgrim on Amazon Prime's free streaming so I'm not sure if they rotated off or what. I like Prime. It's about teh same price as Netflix for a year and I get free upgraded (2-day or next-day) shipping on stuff I order, which is most things I don't buy from from mom...

The recovered missing Doctor Who episodes are The Enemy Of The World (1967) and The Web Of Fear (1968)

I'll give it a mild squee. Troughton is one of my favorites, probably my current favorite from the "old days".

George R.R. Martin teases purple wedding for season 4

I don't care for his writing style nor pedophilia so the HBO series lets me enjoy the storyline while avoiding the stuff I don't care for.

Adapting "Ghost Tower of Inverness" for 13th level PCs

Those all sound like very cool ideas. Honestly, just run with it (but keep a bit of the funhouse vibe).

What film did you just see?

Finally saw "Warm Bodies" with the S.O. It was cute and I have to admit I had a few laughs. It's no "Zombieland" but she loved it and I didn't have to re-watch one of the Twilight movies so win-win.

Swift/Minor action healing is another big thing I'm missing.

Where to find a nerdy girl?

And that's great, but it's still a heck of a risk far too often when you have other options. It's akin to getting someone's name on a tattoo. Yeah, it's great as long as you're together but with the failure rate of relationships it's a risk usually worth avoiding.

Where to find a nerdy girl?

It may not even matter if you still get along with her. Sometimes "pre-emptive" moves are made by management.
