    Dungeon Master's Guide II

From the description, it sounds like it could be useful, though I'm not keen on the name - I'm a purist, I guess. Maybe call it "Dungeon Master's Toolkit" or something.

Free PDF Utility (PDF995) Anyone use it?

Do either of those programs allow you to add bookmarks to the PDF, or do you need the full Acrobat for that?

    What's your favorite CRPG?

I would recommend Morrowind, if you like detailed settings. Neverwinter Nights isn't bad, though if you have an older computer, I'm not sure how well it would perform. Dungeon Siege is pretty fun, though it's more of an "action" RPG than a standard RPG (more in the style of Diablo).

I picked up Morrowind this weekend

Not sure what people mean by Morrowind being too "easy", though I do recall that combats weren't all that tough after a little while. Some things are nasty later on... One thing I would recommend is picking up the "strategy guide" or whatever it's called, primarily for the maps. I don't usually...

What has gaming done for you?

Met my wife in my first gaming group in college (and tomorrow night, she gets to meet a marilith :) Well, her and the rest of the party...).

RPG software for the Palm Pilot?

Mythosa.net utilities TableSmith eXpress (shareware) Namemaker (shareware) Almanac (freeware) Character Manager (freeware) XP Tracker (freeware) Cartoforge DicePro D&D Helper There's a few others out there as well that I can't recall...

    Anyone get Fable yet?

I just finished a four hour session, so hopefully that tells you something :) If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I'd still be playing. I have about six totals hours in (bought it yesterday), so I haven't advanced too far, but for the most part I like it. Lots of cool little touches...

    Spellbook Generator?

I don't know of any for 3.5, but I made one for TableSmith for 3.0. If you can't find one for 3.5, you might want to look at converting that one. Link ("3E Generators", fourth one down).

What did you guys think of Dungeon Stamps?

The text looks fine to me in Firefox (Mozilla), but the background graphics are spaced out (they don't form one big "orb in a talon", but are separated). The rollover trick on the menu - I opened the page in IE as well - didn't work for me in Firefox, so there's no way to tell what any of the...

    Palm Software

I've got a few Palm utilities on my website. Other than TableSmith eXpress, they're not particularly "generic", but they may prove of some use. I'm planning on a combat manager for my next Palm app, though I don't have a timeframe set for it yet.

[Necro] Judges Guild classic products now available on DTRPG!

Is this an issue with any of the other JG products? I plan on buying a number of them, but I'd prefer not to purchase any that are "incomplete" (or, rather, know what they're missing so I can decide if it matters or not).

The village, Yes, it really is that bad

I completely agree. If that scene is the one I'm thinking about, given the nature of what was involved, I think that made it even more horrific in its delivery (man, that wasn't too vague, was it? :) Trying not to spoil anything...) Personally, I figured out the ending twist about half-way...

    Dancey resigns as GAMA Treasurer

Actually, Gaming Report has a rating system similar to Slashdot. If articles end up getting rated below your threshold, you won't see them. It's possible that they're not being seen because they're below your threshold value. I don't know for sure that no deletions have taken place (I just...

    Any good DM computer aides?

Off the top of my head: DM's Familiar TableSmith DM Genie Role-Playing Master Campaign Suite I've got some PalmOS programs primarily targetted at DMs at my site as well.

DriveThruRPG - what am I doing wrong?

You're supposed to download the "ebx.etd" file. You then launch it in Acrobat Reader 6, and it goes through the process of downloading the actual PDF. If Acrobat 6 is installed properly, it's pretty straightforward (on my WinXP PC; not sure how this works on other OSes). Have you tried to save...

    Dungeon 112: Map problems

I agree. I posted a mini-rant about adventure maps on my website awhile back. My main points were: Make it monochrome (B&W is good) so I can photocopy it for easy mark-up. Give me a square grid so I can easily and quickly draw it out on a battlemat or use it with MasterMaze pieces during the...

AdAware changes your homepage to MSN?

I'd recommend this just on general principle :) And Thunderbird rather than Outlook (also available from mozilla.org).

    Treasure Map book

Are you thinking about this (go to the very bottom of the page)? I'm not sure if it was for 2E, but it does have a bunch of treasure maps. I believe it has maps for both the players (the maps the characters find) and the DM (for what's really there).

New version of TableSmith is available

Version 4.4 of TableSmith is now available from Mythosa.net in the RPG Utilities section. The following features have been added: Fixed bug with "Cap" function (didn't work properly if fed an empty string) Added functions: "DSCreate", "DSAdd", "DSCount", "DSWrite", "DSRead", "DSSet", "DSGet"...

What's the coolest item in your game collection?

I would have to say my set of Original D&D books (Men & Magic, Monsters & Treasure, Underworld & Wilderness Adventures, as well as Greyhawk), mainly for nostalgia but mostly because they're signed by Gary :)
