Unbelievable Scale of AI’s Pirated-Books Problem

Most likely they simply hide it so those in the area can’t see it and block those in the area from posting them. Is this is extremely recent? I’ve posted and seen CBC links on Facebook in the last six months.

Spoilers Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Exactly. Even at seven seasons of 10-15 episodes you’re only talking 70-105 episodes. Which is a lot, to be sure. Until you realize the 90s shows hit that mark around the end of season 5. Besides, modern productions don’t go to seven seasons. They do 3-4 before they’re cancelled. Which gives you...

The Legend of Vox Machina Renewed for Fourth Season

Yes. The fans decided to blame the woman-of-color guest for the regular PC’s death instead of the PC’s actual player who was completely at fault. It was not a good time to be a CR fan.

The Legend of Vox Machina Renewed for Fourth Season

For better or worse they are making significant changes to the story of the Mighty Nein. As long as they don’t change the theme song from the campaign, I’m still in.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Those are the best. Works great in horror and mystery. It’s why you never need red herrings in RPGs. The PCs will gladly lead you everywhere but where your notes suggested.

What do YOU plan on doing with Daggerheart?

The one immediately thought of was a pseudodragon PC. Faerie and drakona. But both flying and breath weapon are the second traits. Seems like a silly limitation.

D&D 5E (2014) Feedback on a Feat for Blind PCs -- Sightless Warrior

It’s pretty great. It might be in the SRD. It’s up on their site.

D&D 5E (2014) Feedback on a Feat for Blind PCs -- Sightless Warrior

I think it’s about representation over physics. Like with paralyzed PCs and combat wheelchairs, which are also in Daggerheart. I don’t care about physics or emulating disability “accurately” in an RPG. I think we should be at a point where mechanizing that stuff, just like mechanizing mental...

What do YOU plan on doing with Daggerheart?

I really dig the mixed-ancestry rules. There's all kinds of fun combos to do. Add in how customizable the ancestries are by default and there's all kinds of nonsense you can do. The top/bottom traits thing seems a bit...arbitrary though. Are the traits at the top or bottom meant to be more...

D&D 5E (2014) Feedback on a Feat for Blind PCs -- Sightless Warrior

Why penalize the character in the first place? Make the blindness a narrative element rather than one that's mechanically punitive which then forces you to create a feat to overcome those punishments. One of the many things I absolutely love about Daggerheart is that it has four pages on...

Daggerheart Review: The Duality of Robust Combat Mechanics and Freeform Narrative

Shrug. As I said, most people haven't even had time to read the full book once. I certainly don't have it memorized yet. That's my point. It's not explicitly stated anywhere (that I've found) that these are possible GM moves. It's implied in the stat block breakdown. So if you don't read that...

Daggerheart Review: The Duality of Robust Combat Mechanics and Freeform Narrative

Yeah. The book's been out what...5 days. Most people haven't finished their first pass, much less dug deep on repeated readings. There are some inconsistencies in the monsters and definitely places things could be explained better. Daggerheart falls into the typical RPG writing trap of...

Daggerheart Review: The Duality of Robust Combat Mechanics and Freeform Narrative

I gotta say I was surprised by the encounter-building math. That seems rather precise. I'd like to see a breakdown of the math behind all that. Not just the monsters but the PCs, too. Don't know why but that's always interesting to me. For me it's a breath of fresh air. Not having to have...

Daggerheart Review: The Duality of Robust Combat Mechanics and Freeform Narrative

That's the key, I think. Instead of loading in a bunch of stuff to ignore or rewrite, they kept it simple. Seems like a waste of space to include it considering a lot of that info would just have to change based on the world played in or the campaign frame used. Hard disagree. It's a great...
